What's your favorite way to travel and your most memorable trip?

Greetings dear Hiveans, especially to all those in #memoirmonday group. Another initiative with regard to travel to refresh our good old memory by @ericvancewalton

As per time, my favorite way of travel kept changing. In my school days, I haven't travelled much in a four wheeler vehicle, compared to my travel in train. Though by origin, I belonged to one state, I was fortunate enough to complete my schooling and college in another state, where I just fell in love with this place, as my good times were spent here, nearly 25 years.

So, every school/college annual vacation we used to travel by train to our native. Those days in the 80's were of great fun. It was a time of friends and books rather than technology and gadgets. Everyone in the compartment was happy enough to exchange friendly talks and enjoy the lush green nature from their compartment window.

After 25 years, we made our next visit by train. But this time it was with my husband and kids. The place is in Chennai, South India. It was one of
the first memorable trip, because in each halt I had a memory to recollect, most of them with my family & friends.

My family and the university where I studied behind me.

Mahabalipuram, a famous destination famous for its sculpture and monuments

Entrance to Marina beach

Iwas so happy to revisit my University where I had a good lot of memories. I visited one of the most famous Beach called Marina beach. It is right in front of the University. Hope now you got a picture of where I spent most of my time, in university or beach😍.

But now its now more an open beach. It has become a final resting place for popular political leaders holding the Chief Minister position. Too mamy monumental structures are beng placed in and around the tomb. The Beach is qute big with too many restaurants on one side and Peddlers around. Music was around booming in high pitch.

To be honest, this was not the place I expected to see, I anticipated a much more better place. The place has become too poulated and polluted as well. It was quite difficult to commute even at a very short distance. The main mode of transportation here is metro .

Though it was a short visit I was able to cover up few places and enjoy few favorite foods. Actually Indian foods are famous for the number of side dishes and curries that go along with rice.

In limited time I visited limited place, just to refresh my memories. With family, I had travelled to other beautiful places, but this place leaves many memories in my heart.

The text typed is original. And the photos captured are solely mine captured some time ago. Thank you for your kind visit.

That is a beautiful country! I can't wait to visit India. I learned meditation from an Indian guru named Paramahansa Yogananda and would like to visit the town he was born in some day. Thanks for your contribution to #memoirmonday!

You are most welcome to our country. Its a nice place to visit for sure. Meditation and Yoga is given much importance in almost all states of India. These are now being introduced in few schools also. If you need any kind of info, let me see if I can help you out.

It has happened to me that I have a place saved in my memory and when I went later it was nothing like what I had, the places change sometimes for the better and other times not so much. I can't imagine the taste of those foods with so much curry, but it catches my attention.
Kind regards

Sometimes its really disappointing to see these changes even if its for good. It tastes so well Mam. It goes well with indian rice. 😍 Happy weekend

These memories are so beautiful to us
