Our first walk in the nature (2024.05.13)

in Feathered Friends16 days ago (edited)

After she became completely calm and comfortable in her aviary and standing on my arm, today evening I decided to go for a walk with her in the nature.

This was a very short (only a few minutes) walk.

She rotated her head during the walk. She was visibly stressed. Similarly when she was in the aviary for the first time.

So I decided to put her back into her aviary after walking with her on my arm for a few minutes.

She need time to get used to the walks. Just like she needed time to get used to the aviary and to standing on my arm. Slowly I will make the walks longer and longer. Everything step by step. Gradually.

She will get used to the walks, to the place, to the people.

First she will get used to have walks in the nature on my arm, then she will get used to the people and to the dogs. Currently there are two dogs in the community.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
