Sunday afternoon, my husband and I had a special lunch for his birthday, but our outing did not end there, we decided to walk several blocks to one of the Malls that are close to home to continue enjoying a day together. Sometimes, the daily routine and the work tucks us in and, although we are always together, we forget the importance of dedicating a special time, without rushing, to our relationship.
We left the restaurant and found ourselves with a beautiful Sunday afternoon, just at the golden hour when the sun has a wonderful light, and to make our walk the best, the temperature was perfect. We walked through the streets of Bogota, enjoying a clear sky and the singing of some birds that were also happy for the gift of a beautiful afternoon.
We went to our favorite place to eat ice cream. We sat for a while to enjoy the delicious ice cream and the moment, and, laughing, we remembered many anecdotes and many moments lived all these years together. Talking about those moments always makes us feel closer and very united.
Sometimes, it was not about doing something extraordinary, but about being present for each other and having time for each other as a couple. This is why these outings are essential and should be sought more often, as they allow us to escape from the monotony and routine of everyday life.
Our Sunday outing was not just another outing, but an investment in our love and happiness. The most important thing, after more than thirty years together, is to keep alive the spark and the connection that unites us.

El domingo por la tarde, mi esposo y yo tuvimos un almuerzo especial por su cumpleaños, pero nuestra salida no terminó ahí, decidimos caminar varias cuadras hasta uno de los Centros Comerciales que están cerca de casa para seguir disfrutando de un día juntos. A veces, la rutina diaria y el trabajo nos arropa y, aunque siempre estamos juntos, olvidamos la importancia de dedicar un tiempo especial, sin prisas, a nuestra relación.
Salimos del restaurante y nos encontramos con una tarde de domingo hermosa, justo a la hora dorada cuando el sol tiene una luz maravillosa, y para que nuestro paseo fuera el mejor, la temperatura estaba perfecta. Caminamos por las calles bogotanas, disfrutando de un cielo despejado y del canto de algunos pajaritos que también estaban felices por el regalo de una tarde bonita.
Fuimos a nuestro lugar favorito para comer helados. Nos sentamos un rato a disfrutar de los deliciosos helados y del momento, y, entre risas, recordamos muchas anécdotas y muchos momentos vividos todos estos años juntos. Hablar de esos momentos siempre nos hace sentir más cerquita y muy unidos.
A veces, no se trataba de hacer algo extraordinario, sino de estar presentes el uno para el otro y de tener tiempo para nosotros como pareja. Por esto, estas salidas son esenciales y hay que procurarlas con más frecuencia, pues permiten escapar de la monotonía y de la rutina del día al día.
Nuestra salida del domingo no fue solo un paseo más, sino una inversión en nuestro amor y en nuestra felicidad. Lo más importante, luego de más de treinta años juntos, es mantener viva la chispa y la conexión que nos une.

Dicen que uno cuando tiene mucho tiempo en pareja, tiene que tener citas como si estuvieses en el principio de la relación, para no dejarse llevar por la rutina. Han tomado una excelente iniciativa, ya con el helado lo redondearon!!! Felicitaciones por tanto!!!

Echooo... Los felicito por esa gran trayectoria que tienen como matrimonio. Dios les guarde y les mantenga unidos. Esos momentos cultivan la relación y es un tiempo único de pareja.
