A True Mother

Hello Hivians.
Happy Sunday to you all.
And of course Happy Mother's Day to mothers on this web and all over the world.
Your place is irreplaceable.

Motherhood is a whole phase of life and I don't think we can ever say too much about the sacrifice, love, and affection that mothers give.
A mother isn't just one who births a child, a mother is one who nurtures, loves, cares for, raises, and teaches.
A mother a multitasker, a home builder, a doctor and nurse by default, a teacher, she's a director of all operations.
I want to take out time to celebrate all mothers out there, take your flowers.

Concerning this prompt, I'd love to talk about the roles of parents and grandparents in raising children and I'll refer to the Bible where a follower of Jesus, Timothy was raised by his mother Eunice and his grandmother Lois.
His teacher Apostle Paul commended him in 2nd Timothy 1:5 for following after the faith of his mother and grandmother, which indicated that they had taught him well enough for his teacher to be that proud of him to the extent of making good remarks about their efforts in making sure he grew to be a man who kept the faith.
Parents, especially mothers and grandparents have a role to play in the upbringing of kids.

I can vividly remember, it was my grandmother, God bless her soul, who taught me politeness and self-care, she taught me how to greet in my dialect and also studied with me whenever she came to visit.
She was a strong and determined woman.
My mother has shaped my life, her consistent love and dedication to her children is what make us who we are today.
I recall when my brother gave up on school because he wasn't doing well, my mother pushed hard and encouraged him, eventually my brother finished school with First class honors in International Relations.
If not for my mother I won't probably hold up high values about myself.

Parents are like a Sign post, they give direction, they give instruction. Being a parent isn't just about bringing a child into the world, you have to shape that child and bring the child up properly so that they won't be a nuisance to themselves first, their parents, and the society at large.
Grandparents go a long way in bringing up children too, they have more experience, wisdom and understanding.
They basically know about the joys and perks of parenthood, the ups and downs. They know what to do, they've been there before.
They usually have this amazing bond with their grandchildren, and it's an amazing thing to be a grandparent, helping your children's children.

Parents and grandparents parents are essentially role figures in upbringing. They do the basic work. Teachers do beautiful work too but my emphasis is on the foundation, the home, where a child comes from, this goes a long way and wrong values might be hard to change even when there's a teacher.

As role figures, parents, grandparents, and teachers should take care of the things they say and do as children are great imitators.
I'm pretty sure the saying an Apple doesn't fall far from its tree I a valid statement.

Thank you all for reading through.
Happy Mother's Day 💐.

Here is my May InLeo prompt for day 12.
