I have always been a fan of board games—any kind at all! I cannot even mention the one I have the most love for, but I have sure engaged in some more than others. The board games I am capable of playing are Ludo, Scrabble, Chess, and Monopoly. I simply do not have any idea of the other games in this category, but I will be delighted to learn if I have any chance. Out of all the board games I have knowledge of, I have played the Ludo game the most. I started playing with my family members since I was little, and I am quite a pro at it.

The ludo game is mostly played by two players but can also be played by four players. There is this strategy that works almost every time, but it depends on my speed level and the ability to roll a 'six' before my opponent. If I roll a six first, I count it at the color closest to my opponent and find my way to the back of his house. I hurry to take out another piece and move it beyond the house I was first at, to the back of the second house. This means that no matter where my opponent chooses to come out, I strike immediately and even have a backup plan—my second piece.

Other times, if my opponent brings a piece put before me and is close to my house, I try to challenge them by coming out of that house prone to risks and waiting for my opponent to move his piece farther than the point mine is. This will put my opponent's piece at risk and give me a better chance to strike from the back. Overall, my strategy depends on how the game is. Contrary to many beliefs that the Ludo game is only a game of luck, I disagree by saying it needs strategy as well. There is no point in playing favorable numbers if you do not have the right strategies to utilize them well.

I also played scrabble a lot in high school, and I was recognized as one of the best players in my class. My strategy is to never be the one to open up double words and triple words. I try to lure my opponents by opening the double words so I can get greater rewards. I also don't release all my tiles at once, especially the vowels. I play very calculative games like scrabble, and it's only if my opponent is an actual pro that he can beat me. Most times, I make it very competitive and even try to win against pros a few times.

As for chess, I only learned it at the university, and it wasn't until my third year. I was so fascinated by it that I bought a chess board the next day. I know my moves, and I have really good defense skills, but I am not really a professional at this game. In fact, I can count the number of times I have won since I started playing. I will still call myself a learner, not just a newbie; let's just say I am at the intermediate level. So, sorry, I have no winning strategies to share concerning this game.
For Monopoly, the strategy I use most of the time is to target properties that have a great rent fee and invest in them early. If luck shines on me, I get all the spaces with the same color, and I start building houses. If not, I try to make a fair deal with the other owners of the space(s) I need. Also, I don't target building houses too early; I try to gather my rent first to be on the safer side. Monopoly is a very fun game, and it can take different turns. It is even more fun when there are about six players on the board. My favorite spot is those two costly lands before you get to "GO", I target them with all my mind and soul, and when they don't get to be mine, I try to avoid them with all my heart and might🤣🤣

I love playing the ludo game as well but the bad thing is I don't use any strategy I just play the game and flow with whatever feeling I'm having. Since you said there are strategies to use in playing I think I'm gonna be more open and apply those strategies as I learn the game more.

Been so long I played Ludo! I’m going to get me a Ludo game immediatemo! Ludo is definitely not a game of luck. While luck is a factor (because how else will you get that ‘six’) your moves afterward determines your position. Would you move ahead? Would you take a risk? Especially with those ‘ones’. It’s a beautiful game that helps me relax!!!

Your hobbies are quite interesting as well, very impressive in fact. I have noticed that it is not everyone that gets to love board games, and that is totally fine actually.

You see these games, one needs to be calculative and with strategy to win their opponent. I only played Ludo when I was very young and even though I still have a basic knowledge of it, I still am sure I would be beaten. Lol
I also played chess too, though I left it immediately we moved out of our compound some years back.
