The Loner | Taking a Trip

Travelling isn't that fun to be honest especially when you are going to a new environment, whenever the journey is more than 30mins I will just decline or keep postponing it till forever, I will rather sit down at home than to be in a moving vehicle for hours while sitting down, I can't press my phone because I do have motion sickness, I can't sleep because you need to be at alert always, you don't know who is watching you and to even make it worse, I will start having this numb feeling but the day my head will caught me was during nysc period, I was posted to Adamawa state which was 36hours from my location.

Well I couldn't cry and I won't lie, I was somehow afraid based on the news flying around about boko haram in most of those northern areas, people around me were always asking me to redeploy after camp and all but I was somehow bothered on how I will manage to sit in that bus for hours, luckily for me one of my guy friend was posted to the same location so we decided to meet at the Lagos park so we can go together but when we reach the park, we saw like 4 other nysc new members going to the same location, I had to thank my star when I find out one of the like to talk, at least she was the vibe through the journey, we were 6 corpers, and the rest were hausa men. One thing I really don't like about the trip was how the bus drivers pack everyone like sardine fish and fill every space they can see with loads they need to deliver, it was really choking but was happy my sit number was at the back of the driver sit near the window area so I was receiving fresh air.

The journey was fun by the way even though it was tiring and we only stopped 3 times just to stretch our legs and buy food, we were all discussing how the new life in camp will be, if we will meet friend, camp escapades and all and at some point I got tired and just plugged in my earpieces to listen to music. After few hours, I could feel my bom on fire and things started getting uncomfortable, I was even trying to stand a little, or change position and at night it was really hard to sleep, no were to rest our head, if you do and the bus enter a porthole, then you are gone because you will surely feel the pain when you hit your head on something. Adamawa is really a cool place and peaceful especially the capital, you will rarely see a police officer but you will surely see soldiers patrolling the city, they have lands which aren't occupied especially some area and you will see scanty houses and yes their weather is really abnormal, when it is cold, it will be too cold there and whenever it is hot, it will be very hot as if you are near the sun, same as the heat, people were sleeping outside at night during the heat period.

Can't say much because I spent the whole year indoor like a ghost so people won't notice or see me😂

What about if you got to travel to lagos for 6 hours. Lolzz? Traveling is fun though when its more convenient like your own car or with a plane less stressful really

from home to lagos is just 2hours, I'm already use to entering and leaving lagos already, I drive most times so it is way comfortable

I also tell people that traveling isn't always as fun as they see it, cause going somewhere you know nothing about, will feel like starting something over from scratch like meeting people and getting to know each other, I've heard a lot of cool things about Adamawa though..

the new place is always the scary part, more reason why some people don't like it. cool things about adamawa 😄, do you wish to visit

I can't press my phone because I do have motion sickness,

This is my first time hearing of motion sickness, so I had to check it out. Now I understand why you don't like long distance journeys.

ooh glad you learn something, also it can cause someone to vomit after a long journey
