For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to showcase two of my pure fractals I used that I created in two different versions of Apophysis, the fractal rendering program. To refresh, a fractal is a visual representation of a complex mathematical equation. Its iterations are produced when the iterations are rendered.
My first pure fractal entitled "Red Curtain" was created in Apophysis 2.09 and has always been a favorite. I use it as a background for my projects. It certainly does resemble a curtain. I utilized the curtain as the background. The crow is centered as though being unveiled.

Mi primer fractal puro titulado "Cortina Roja" fue creado en Apophysis 2.09 y siempre ha sido uno de mis favoritos. Lo utilizo como fondo para mis proyectos. Ciertamente se parece a una cortina. Utilicé la cortina como fondo. El cuervo está centrado como si lo estuvieran desvelando.
El segundo fractal puro titulado "Eye of the Swirl", lo creé en Apophysis 7X, la versión actualizada del software. Es un diseño encantador que contiene remolinos de colores. Utilicé este fractal para crear un par de ojos mágicos y alienígenas.
Al visualizar fractales, siempre es mejor utilizar un fondo negro. De ese modo, los detalles se muestran completamente. Yo suelo renderizar mis fractales sobre un fondo transparente. Así puedo superponerlos con imágenes de otro tipo o viceversa.
The second pure fractal entitled "Eye of the Swirl", I created in Apophysis 7X, the upgraded version of the software. It's a lovely design that contains colorful swirls. I used this fractal to create a magical and alien pair of eyes.
When viewing fractals, it's always best to use a black background. That way, the details are fully displayed. I usually render my fractals on a transparent background. That way, I can overlay them with other type images or vise versa.
In the majority of my mixed media art projects, I include a human or animal image to complement the fractals. These images may be free-sourced or created utilizing stable diffusion or generative art programs. Whichever program is used, the ability to work with transparent images is key to blending and filtering the various elements.
For my stable diffusion program, I utilize one of my favorites, Night Cafe for this project. I like the results that my text description is transformed into. The crow with its wings spread wide looks majestic Below are my steps that produced the crow:

Since the theme of my project is "eyes", I decided to surround the crow with decorative and alien eyes. I also included a mermaid image whose pose sideways only revealed her eye. She originally is lying down. However, with background removal and repositioning capabilities with my design program, I'm able to switch her position and overlay her image.

To blend the images and complete the project, I uploaded all to Canva. I use this site as my design program with the assistance of my upgraded Annual Pro Membership Subscription. Below are my procedures:

To a blank, white canvas, I added the pure fractal curtain.

Switched canvas background to black to see curtain detail. Duplicated it, then positioned both on opposite sides not touching to appear as an opening.

Added the red iris pupil.
