Galería artística en la Estación Retiro
Para mi visita a la embajada de Venezuela en Argentina, luego de haber tomado un colectivo que nos llevó hasta la Estación Constitución, considerada la estación ferroviaria más grande de Latinoamérica, tomamos un Subte que nos llevaría hasta la Estación Retiro.
La Estación Retiro del Ferrocarril Mitre, es uno de los lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Ubicada en el barrio de Retiro, esta estación es uno de los principales terminales de trenes de la ciudad y conecta a miles de pasajeros con el resto del país.
Allí, subimos a bordo de un tren, desde el andén número ocho, pues nos pareció la ruta más directa para llegar a nuestro destino. Luego hacer un corto recorrido de dos estaciones, nos bajamos del tren en la Estación Ministro Carranza, y caminamos tres cuadras, hasta llegar al destino pautado. Hicimos los trámites y de regreso, nos detuvimos en la Estación Retiro del Ferrocarril Mitre, pues había visto unas pinturas ubicadas justo en el andén ocho, que me llamaron la atención, pude visualizar, que no tenían el nombre del autor. Así que, la parte inferior de algunos murales, pude ver un código y letras, que decía: (SAP-SOFSE-Patrimonio, Bienes Culturales de Trenes Argentinos)
Estos murales se denominan, mural ferrocarril. Porque se exponen en lugares que de una u otra manera están directamente ligados con las vías férreas. Ellos representan la vida y cultura del trabajador de trenes, del turista, y la historia del lugar donde se encuentren. Asimismo, ilustran la cultura y paisajes donde, frecuentemente, el tren se utiliza como transporte principal, elevando así, el sentido de identidad del individuo y de su comunidad. Espero que estos murales, también llamados de arte urbano, les hayan invitado a conocer un poco más acerca de los artistas y sus diferentes estilos, pero todos con un mismo objetivo, adornar las vías, líneas, túneles y estaciones de tren. En esta oportunidad se trató de la Estación Retiro, Mitre. Espero la visiten y se lleven un lindo recuerdo de la Estación Retiro y de cómo llegar en caso de que tengan que dirigirse a la embajada.

Art gallery at Retiro Station
For my visit to the Venezuelan Embassy in Argentina, after taking a bus that took us to Constitución Station, considered the largest railway station in Latin America, we took a Subway that would take us to Retiro Station.
The Retiro Station of the Mitre Railroad is one of the emblematic places of the city of Buenos Aires. Located in the Retiro neighborhood, this station is one of the main train terminals in the city and connects thousands of passengers with the rest of the country.
There, we boarded a train from platform number eight, as it seemed to us the most direct route to reach our destination. After a short two-station ride, we got off the train at Ministro Carranza Station and walked three blocks to our destination. We made the formalities and on the way back, we stopped at the Retiro Station of the Mitre Railroad, because I had seen some paintings located right on platform eight, which caught my attention, I could visualize that they did not have the name of the author. So, the bottom of some murals, I could see a code and letters, which said: (SAP-SOFSE-Heritage, Cultural Heritage of Argentine Trains).
These murals are called railroad murals. Because they are displayed in places that in one way or another are directly linked to the railroads. They represent the life and culture of the train worker, the tourist, and the history of the place where they are located. They also illustrate the culture and landscapes where, frequently, the train is used as main transportation, thus elevating the sense of identity of the individual and his or her community. I hope that these murals, also called urban art, have invited you to learn a little more about the artists and their different styles, but all with the same goal, to decorate the tracks, lines, tunnels and train stations. This time it was the Retiro, Mitre Station. I hope you visit it and take with you a nice souvenir of the Retiro Station and how to get there in case you have to go to the embassy.

¡Buen dia Numys! En el último tiempo estuvieron haciendo un gran trabajo embelleciendo las estaciones del tren, lo que me parece perfecto porque tiene miles de visitantes todos los días. Estas puestas en valor se aprecian realmente.

¡Hola mi bella viajera! Qué alegría tu visita. En efecto, las estaciones están lindas, merecen el reconocimiento de los usuarios y que los usuarios las cuiden, para que permanezcan así. Yo encantada cada vez que las necesito. Me siento excelentemente bien. Lástima que en Constitución no estén funcionando sus escaleras eléctricas ni los ascensores. Pero tal vez pronto lo arreglen y vuelva a ser como antes. Un abrazote mi @lauramica.😍
