RE: SPK Network - SPK Testnet Introduction Video

in SPK Network3 months ago

I got about 2/3 through the video and am wondering if this OK to do if you don't really understand it?

My main concerns are that I might do something in set up that mucks up my computer and/or I do something that allows a file (or something) in that compromises the security of my computer.

Sort:

None of the files stored through this mechanism will be given permissions to be executed on your system. Also, the system is set up with docker which further insulates your computer from these services. The only real issues you are likely to face is running other services on the same ports (4001,5001,5005,8000,8001,8080).
My compreface setup(which does facial recognition on my doorbell camera to unlock the door) runs on port 8000, so I had to modify the compose script slightly on my setup; but it's written such that anybody can use it as easy as possible, with a good mind for security.

OK. Thanks for the info.
