Have you ever thought about how sexy sports are? If so, which one is the sexiest? Which one has the most sexual tension? The one that can be as rough and as graceful as a relationship gets sometimes? Luca Guadagnino has asked himself these questions, and his answer is clear in his new film Challengers: Tennis. A film that will keep you on the edge of your seat during the two hours and eleven minutes of footage, with certain plot twists and a plot that is easy to follow but that without a doubt, because of the way it is told, is something that has to be seen in theaters YES or YES.

Una película que te mantendrá al borde del asiento durante las dos horas y once minutos de metraje, con ciertos plot twist y una trama fácil de seguir pero que sin duda, por la forma en la que está contada, es algo que se tiene que ver en cines SI o SI.
With an opening scene that breaks with the music in such an incredible way that it draws you into the film within the first two minutes, and with time jumps that gradually show you details of the plot so that you can't predict exactly what is going to happen in each scene, Challengers also has superb direction that is something to study.
Con una escena inicial que rompe con la música de forma tan increíble que te hace entrar en la película a los primeros dos minutos, y con saltos temporales que te van mostrando poco a poco detalles de la trama para así no poder predecir que es exactamente lo que va a pasar en cada escena, Challengers tiene además una dirección magnifica que es para estudiar.
Being a sports movie, when I finished the film I started to think that another movie had directed the sport in such a way, showing that it can be sexy, raw, strong and exciting, and the truth is that there is none like this one. Yes, many sports movies have shown us how exciting sport is, but never from this point of view, never with this background, never in this way. With wallpaper shots, Guadagnino's direction just keeps getting better and better since he started, delivering us now what is possibly his best film, not only for the direction, but also for the script.
Siendo una película de deporte, al terminar la película me puse a pensar que otra película había dirigido el deporte de tal manera, mostrando que puede ser sexy, crudo, fuerte y emocionante, y la verdad es que no hay ninguna como esta. Si, muchas películas de deporte nos han mostrado lo emocionante que es el deporte, pero nunca desde este punto de vista, nunca con este trasfondo, nunca de esta manera. Con tomas que son para un wallpaper, la dirección de Guadagnino no hace más que mejorar desde que empezó, entregándonos ahora lo que es posiblemente su mejor película, no solo por la dirección, sino también por el guion.
A script that leaves us with one of the best love triangles in cinema, with a rivalry that is created not only between two people and one more, but also between all the protagonists of the film, making even the most everyday things feel with tension that only Guagdanino could give, such as eating a churro. This is why Challengers ends up being a unique film, which is in my opinion the best so far this year.
Un guion que nos deja uno de los mejores triángulos amorosos del cine, con una rivalidad que se crea no solo entre dos personas y una más, sino también entre todos los protagonistas de la película, haciendo que hasta lo más cotidiano se sienta con tensión que solo Guagdanino podría dar, como por ejemplo, comerse un churro. Por esto Challengers termina siendo una película única, que es en mi opinión lo mejor de lo que va del año.
But, and you can't miss it, I loved the soundtrack of the movie. I'm just now listening to it and although I would like to recommend it, I would prefer that you watch the movie first so that the soundtrack hits you by surprise as it did with me, so that you get excited and cry as I did, so that you feel the way you should feel.
So, if you have the chance to see Challengers, don't waste it, get your best tennis shorts ready and enjoy one of the most entertaining dramas that cinema brings this year.
Pero, y es que no puede faltar, el soundtrack de la película me encantó sin más. Justo ahora lo estoy escuchando y aunque me gustaría recomendarlo, preferiría que primero vean la película para que el soundtrack los golpee de sorpresa como lo hizo conmigo, para que se emocionen y lloren como yo lo hice, para que sientan de la forma que se debe sentir.
Entonces, si tienes la posibilidad de ver Challengers, no la desperdicies, prepara tus mejores shorts de tenis y disfruta de uno de los dramas más entretenidos que trae el cine este año.

Hola @takeru255, tremenda introducción, me enganchaste desde el inicio, de verdad que nunca me había pasado por la mente eso de cuál deporte es el más sexi que otro, para mí no sería el tenis, sino la gimnasia o no se tengo que pensarlo bien, ya había leído una reseña sobre esta película y lo recuerdo es por la imagen donde aparecen los 3 jóvenes, y recuerdo que era algo de un triángulo amoroso, pero no por la forma tan interesante que la reseñas tú, ahora si me provoca verla.
