Hmmmmmmmm this is really quite huge but then it can also be a helpful knowledge for most parents to understand about their children, because in our world today we've got alot of records of misunderstanding of parents towards their children either through their choice of career or the schools they would love to go to.
And so one of the very core secrets parents should accommodate is patience, listening and examplary parenting, though doing all of these might look so impossible or a waste of time rather but then we should also understand that if we must enjoy the best part of our children we must give them the opportunity to explore and while on it you should guide them through.
Yes most parents have always had the mindset of since they couldn't meet up to a particular standard of living comfortably so then their children must take up from wherever they stopped and not also remembering that it is whatever they see you do that is what they would eventually and while looking at their unexpected behavior you begin to get mad at them That's why examplary parenting is very much important.
As parents we must learn to give our children listening ears to whatever that has been struggles towards their education, choice of school and life in general.

You are right in mentioning that there are several cases where parents demolish the uniqueness of their kids by demolishing their choices. Parents should be listening to their kids with an intention to understand them.
There is no doubt that patience is something is what the parents need at the priority.
Leading by examples is far more lasting than leading by words. It helps instilling the lasting attitudes and behaviors.
