Hace poco una clienta me hizo un pedido que me pareció muy lindo y no precisamente por el personaje si no por el motivo del pedido. La sora me solicito realizarle 2 llaveros de Hello Kitty tejidos a crochet, y yo claro feliz de hacerlos le dije que sí.

Recently a customer made me a request that I found very cute and not exactly for the character but for the reason of the request. She asked me to crochet 2 Hello Kitty keychains, and I was happy to make them, so I said yes.
Hello Kitty es un personaje muy tierno y recuerdo que de niña veía esta comiquita con mi hermana, y nos gustaba mucho la verdad.
Ésta clienta me conto que quería 2 llaveros de Hello Kitty que fueran idénticos, ya que sería un regalo de cumpleaños para su hermana que es súper fan de este lindo personaje, y me dijo que ellas desde niñas tenían muchas cosas de Hello Kitty y aunque ya son bastante mayores su hermana aún es muy fan y tiene una colección de diferentes productos de esta tierna gatita.
Y como se acerca el cumpleaños de su hermana ella quería que su regalo fuera único y especial, así que decidió regalarle un llavero de su personaje favorito y ella se quedaría con otro igual, ya que de niñas su mama siempre que compraba algún producto del personaje lo compraba igual para ella y para su hermana, y me pareció súper tierno y también me recordó que mi mama hacia lo mismo conmigo y mi hermanita, ya que hasta la ropa nos la compraba igual pero de distintos colores y todo el mundo creía que éramos gemelas jajajaja…. Y es que éramos casi del mismo tamaño y la diferencia de edad entre nosotras es de solo 11 meses.
No puede tomar fotos de todo el proceso del tejido ya que lo hice súper rápido, literalmente de la noche a la mañana ya que mi clienta tenía que viajar la noche del día siguiente al estado donde vive su hermana para estar con ella el día de su cumpleaños.
Normalmente yo tomo pedidos con un mínimo de 3 días de anticipación, pero esta clienta es muy querida y frecuente así que hice una excepción y me esforcé para tener listo su pedido a tiempo.
A continuación les contare sobre los materiales que use para realizar los llaveros de Hello Kitty y sobre el proceso de tejido.
MATERIALES:
-Hilo de crochet color blanco, rosado, amarillo y negro.
-Ganchillo #4.
-Aguja lanera.
-Pegamento universal.
-Tijeras.
-Alfileres.
-Marcadores de puntos.
-Relleno siliconado.
-Aros para llaveros.
Hello Kitty is a very cute character and I remember as a child I used to watch this cartoon with my sister, and we really liked it.
This customer told me that she wanted 2 Hello Kitty keychains that were identical, as it would be a birthday gift for her sister who is a big fan of this cute character, and she told me that since they were kids they had a lot of Hello Kitty stuff and although they are quite old her sister is still a big fan and has a collection of different products of this cute kitty.
And as her sister's birthday was coming up she wanted her gift to be unique and special, so she decided to give her a keychain of her favorite character and she would keep the same one, because when she was a child her mom always bought the same product for her and her sister, and I thought it was super cute and also reminded me that my mom did the same with me and my little sister, because she even bought us the same clothes but in different colors and everyone thought we were twins hahahahaha.... We were almost the same size and the age difference between us is only 11 months.
I can't take pictures of the whole knitting process since I did it super fast, literally overnight since my client had to travel the night of the next day to the state where her sister lives to be with her on her birthday.
Normally I take orders a minimum of 3 days in advance, but this client is very dear and frequent so I made an exception and went out of my way to get her order ready on time.
Next I will tell you about the materials I used to make the Hello Kitty keychains and about the weaving process.
MATERIALS:
- White, pink, yellow and black crochet thread.
- Crochet hook #4.
- Wool needle.
- Universal glue.
- Scissors.
- Pins.
- Stitch markers.
- Silicone stuffing.
- Hoops for key rings.
PROCESO DE TEJIDO:
La cliente me había enviado una foto del modelo de llavero que quería y lo hice lo más parecido posible. Como buena crochetera que soy, tengo muchísimos patrones de amigurumis guardados en mi computadora, pero el patrón de Hello Kitty que tenía era un poco diferente a lo que la clienta pidió, pues tenía que ser más pequeño, ya que era para un llavero, así que me toco modificarlo un poco para poder adaptarlo al pedido.
Por esta razón el primer llavero me tomo mucho más tiempo tejerlo, ya que tenía que tejer y destejer para dar con el resultado deseado, lo que yo siempre hago es que al tejer un nuevo amigurumi voy anotando el patrón, y los cambios que le hago. Así que, ya para tejer la segunda Hello Kitty fue mucho más rápido.
Como les dije anteriormente no pude tomar fotos de todo el proceso pero igual les dejo algunas fotitos y también les dejo fotos del patrón que escribí y con el que podrían guiarse si quieren tejer este hermoso llavero de Hello Kitty.
WEAVING PROCESS:
The client had sent me a picture of the keychain pattern she wanted and I made it as close as possible. As a good crocheter that I am, I have a lot of amigurumi patterns saved in my computer, but the Hello Kitty pattern I had was a little different from what the client asked for, because it had to be smaller, since it was for a keychain, so I had to modify it a little bit to adapt it to the order.
For this reason the first keychain took me much more time to knit it, since I had to knit and unknit it to get the desired result, what I always do is that when I knit a new amigurumi I write down the pattern, and the changes I make. So, knitting the second Hello Kitty was much faster.
As I told you before I couldn't take pictures of the whole process but I still leave you some pictures and I also leave you pictures of the pattern I wrote and with which you can use as a guide if you want to knit this beautiful Hello Kitty keychain.
El mayor reto al hacer este amigurumi fue bordar la cara, por más que me esforzaba no se parecía a Hello Kitty así que sin exagerar pase más o menos 1 hora y media en este proceso de bordar los ojos y la nariz, creo que lo hice y deshice unas 4 o 5 veces jajaja… pero al final quede satisfecha con el resultado y la clienta también, y ya para bordar la cara del segundo llavero fue más sencillo.
También me di cuenta que pegando primero los brazos y piernas del amigurumi se me hizo más fácil ubicar los ojos, nariz y orejas.
The biggest challenge when making this amigurumi was to embroider the face, no matter how hard I tried it didn't look like Hello Kitty so without exaggerating I spent more or less 1 hour and a half in this process of embroidering the eyes and nose, I think I did it and undid it 4 or 5 times hahaha... but in the end I was satisfied with the result and the client was too, and to embroider the face of the second keychain it was easier.
I also realized that gluing first the arms and legs of the amigurumi made it easier to place the eyes, nose and ears.
Otra cosa que me ocurrió fue que perdí mi aguja lanera o punta roma, y tuve que usar una aguja grande de las que normalmente se usan para coser a mano y pues me pinche un dedo y tuve que tomar un pequeño descanso hasta que dejo de sangrarme el dedo, porque hubiese sido una desgracia total si se llegaba a manchar de sangre los amigurumis.
Another thing that happened to me was that I lost my wool needle or blunt needle, and I had to use a large needle that is normally used for hand stitching and I pricked my finger and I had to take a little break until my finger stopped bleeding, because it would have been a total disgrace if the amigurumis got blood on them.
Realmente deseo les haya gustado tanto como a mí el resultado final de estos hermosos llaveros, me encanto la experiencia de tejerlos y el hecho de que me trajeron recuerdos de mi infancia junto a mi hermana en nuestras mañanas de domingo viendo caricaturas.
I really hope you liked as much as I did the final result of these beautiful keychains, I loved the experience of knitting them and the fact that they brought back memories of my childhood with my sister in our Sunday mornings watching cartoons.
