Hello community, family and ceramic lovers at Hive Diy greetings 😊. Today I will show you another fascinating exhibition in the Nexos gallery of the Casa del Joven Creador, the sculptural show "Zona Sagrada" by Luis Enrique Milán Boza, artist from my hometown Ciego de Ávila. Enjoy it!
Zona Sagrada es el resultado del premio que le otorgó la IV Edición del Evento Nacional Post-it y la beca de investigación sobre artes visuales Juan Francisco Elso, de la Asociación Hermanos Saiz (AHS), al joven artista avileño. Su primera expo personal se llevó a cabo en la galería capitalina Collage Habana y ahora se exhibe, aunque no en su totalidad en la galería nexos.
Se trata de una sala compuesta por cuatro piezas de gran formato que, mas allá de ser representaciones de su imaginario personal, son símbolos tomados de varias religiones, creencias budistas, y escuelas filosóficas.
Zona Sagrada (Sacred Zone) is the result of the award given to the young artist by the IV Edition of the National Post-it Event and the Juan Francisco Elso Visual Arts Research Grant of the Saiz Brothers Association (AHS). His first personal exhibition was held at the Collage Habana gallery in Havana and is now on display, although not in its entirety, at the nexos gallery.
It is a room composed of four large-format pieces that, beyond being representations of his personal imaginary, are symbols taken from various religions, Buddhist beliefs and philosophical schools.
El artista no aborda el tema desde una posición pasiva, referencial o edulcorada, mas bien la desmonta, a partir de la deformación o subversión de esas imágenes que identifican la religiosidad de cada cultura.
Un Cristo cuyo rostro se muestra más iluminado o fraccionado, a partir de la multiplicación y representación fragmentada de la aureola, mas los labios quedaron intactos. Quizás no podamos reconocer de esta forma su imagen perfecta, pero su palabra, la historia que el propio hombre ha escrito bajo su nombre, es la que realmente trasciende.
Se exhibe en el salón además, monstruo ctónico femenino, capaz de convertir a todo aquel que le mirase fijamente a los ojos en piedra, caso que no ocurrirá en la obra Medusa ya que puedes apreciar todo el arte con tus propios ojos, espectacular !.

The artist does not approach the subject from a passive, referential or sweetened position, but rather dismantles it, starting from the deformation or subversion of those images that identify the religiosity of each culture.
A Christ whose face is shown more illuminated or fractioned, from the multiplication and fragmented representation of the halo, but the lips remain intact. Perhaps we cannot recognize in this way his perfect image, but his word, the story that man himself has written under his name, is what really transcends.
It is also exhibited in the hall, a female chthonic monster, capable of turning anyone who stares into stone, a case that will not happen in the work Medusa because you can appreciate all the art with your own eyes, spectacular!
Un buda chino se deforma sobre el propio lóbulo de su oreja izquierda, elemento identificativo de este icono. Parece una figura maleable, la cual pareciese que tiene la capacidad de construirse y deconstruirse al antojo del receptor.
A Chinese Buddha is deformed on his own left earlobe, an identifying element of this icon. It seems to be a malleable figure, which seems to have the capacity to construct and deconstruct itself at the whim of the receiver.
La obra a tamaño real nombrada "Figurante" es un impactante guardián en toda la sala. Sus rasgos al estilo Sensei resaltan en todo su rostro.
The life-size work named "Figurante" is a striking guardian throughout the room. His sensei-style features stand out all over his face.
Los dibujos que conforman "Primera imagen" pieza de la expo Zona Sagrada, acuarelas sobre cartulinas, son iniciales de acercamientos visuales de lo que después serían las obras.
También se exponen tres dibujos que conforman la serie "Tres estudios de luz desde una sombra".

El público avileño podrá visitar durante todo un mes la exposición filosófica y materialista de Luis Enrique Milán Boza y ojalá sus esculturas sigan dialogando, para siempre, desde los salones en todos los museos del mundo.
