The rainy season has arrived and this is an auspicious time to take my old 100 mm macro lens and do some photography in the surroundings... And this is what today's post is based on!...
Ha llegado la temporada de lluvias y este es un tiempo propicio para tomar mi viejo lente para macros de 100 mm y hacer algunas fotografías en los alrededores... ¡Y en esto se basa mi post de hoy!...

I say I take macro photos when the rains come simply because that's when the bugs and flowers start appearing everywhere. And ‘bugs and flowers’ are a fundamental part of any macro photographer's life. But the truth is that you can take macro photos at any time of the year and even this series of photos confirms it...
Digo que hago macro fotos cuando llegan las lluvias simplemente porque es cuando comienzan a aparece los bichos y las flores por todas partes. Y "bicho y flores" son parte fundamental de la vida de cualquier hacedor de macro fotos. Pero la verdad es que se pueden hacer macros en cualquier época del año e incluso esta serie de fotos así lo confirma...

Those of you who follow my photographic work in #Hive surely know that I am incurably allergic to things like flash and tripod; so these macro pictures shared by me today, are made with natural light, with a hand-held camera and -obviously- holding my breath sometimes until I almost fainted. Besides, the heat, the humidity of these days and the clouds of mosquitoes with a lot of thirst for human blood, make going out to take macro photos in the nearby countryside a real challenge... But macro photos are beautiful and that makes it worth!... ;)
Aquellos que siguen mi trabajo fotográfico en #Hive seguramente saben que soy un alérgico incurable a cosas como el flash y el trípode; así que estas fotografías macro compartidas hoy por mi, están hecha con luz natural, con cámara sostenida a pulso y -obviamente- sosteniendo mi respiración a veces hasta casi desmayarme. Además, el calor, la humedad de estos días y las nubes de mosquitos con sed de sangre humana, hacen que salir a tomar fotos macros en las zonas campestres cercanas, sea un verdadero desafío... ¡Pero las fotos macro son lindas y esto hace que valga la pena!... ;)

The difference in shooting macro vs. my favourite type of photography (street photography as you may know) is significant... However, I do try to retain some of my street style hobby when and if I am shooting macro, this leads me to use wide apertures, deprioritise the full focus of the subjects and -obviously- generate as much drama as possible in the image... So this makes me a kind of ‘crazy guy who does macros almost like street photos’, but that's also something I'm happy to do... ;)
La diferencia de hacer macros contra mi tipo de fotografía favorita (fotos de calle como sabrán) es significativa... Sin embargo, procuro retener algo de mi afición callejera cuando y estoy haciendo macro fotos, esto me lleva a usar aperturas amplias, restar prioridad al enfoque completo de los sujetos y -obviamente- generar el mayor drama posible en la imagen... Entonces esto me convierte en una especie de "loco que hace macros casi como fotos de calle", pero eso también es algo que me complace hacer así... ;)

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.

Your macro photographs are fantastic. The detailing of that photograph is amazing. I tried to capture such a photograph but failed several times. @jlinaresp
The recipe, my @pranavgtd friend, is: "endure alot of stings, great heat and hold your breath"... hehehe :)) It's a joke obviously!... With a good macro lens or close-up lenses (like the Rainox by example) you can get good results... Greetings and thank you for appreciate my work!
