I will try not to repeat myself. To view when i started how often i play what my game and investment strategies are i recommend to read my previous post of last week:

This week i will dive a bit more in what the latest change are which i like and some extra beginner tips.
Latest update Gwen's Glint Show
So playing for over 2 years this a game i still enjoy playing every day. I watch my investment and see the value diminish but still the game is fun. I like the way company share their idea and vision. one of the greatest last feature is imo the glint shop. When you play battles you earn glint that can be spend to buy reward draws. The team are really updating it with interesting thing to buy.
Even i'm not one of the lucky players to hit a jackpot but its possible with 0.1 percent per ultimate chest. Eventually i will hit one :)

Beginner Tips
Start with summoners
When you start the game you need to upgrade you summoners first. You need summoner an a higher level to play higher level units.
This are mine summoners.
I you have the capital buy a maxed summon and you are settles but you can pickup unit and play them any time with that splinter.
To explain how higher levels impact on the units. in the picture below you can see for example
at level 2, current price for 5 copies of Tarsa (5bcx) ~1$:
- level 3 common units
- level 2 rare units
- level 2 epic units
- level 1 legendary units
at level 8, current price for 115 Tarsa copies (10bcx) ~$15:
- level 10 common units
- level 8 rare units
- level 6 epic units
- level 4 legendary units
Note that common/rare/epic/legendary units have different levels
Also note that this specific summoner can be used with two splinters earth and life in this case.
Max price of this common rebellion summoner might set you back >100$ because it the latest edition and still somewhat scarce.
Selecting team
When you start battling look on what you opponent has played last matches and take that into account.
Secondly there are many strategies to do a lineup here is where the strategies come into play. But for the first matches i would suggest to keep it to some basic rules.

Try to find synergies with abilities like select melee units and use a unit that has inspire like this line. All melee units will be buffed with an extra melee
