Greetings, my lovely Splinterverse fellows. I hope everyone is doing fantastic and having fun with the game every day. We are celebrating the 6th anniversary of the game which is a great milestone. Hundreds of blockchain games has been grounded and hundreds are suffering but the excellent community of Splinterlands and the devoted develper team is really amazing to keep the show move on. Hundreds of players have changed their life with tis game over the yeas and many have taken it like a profession that really motivates the game. The development team made a wise choice with their every step towards the plan, which includes a future endeavor to put certain mechanisms in place to benefit all the players throughout these years. The game will undoubtedly become more realistic and player-focused in the future.
I am playing the game for the last three years and I have been still very positive about the future of the game and I think Splinterlands model is going to lead the blockchain gaming indstry. In last post I have discussed about my entry to the beautiful gaming world and my personal difficulties or the risks I have faced which you can read from this link. Today I am going to discuss the potential opportunities and some tips for the new players who wants to dive into this NFT world of blockchain games. I hope it will be helpful for your future endeavors.
As Splinterlands is a decentralized digital collectible card game, I love the artwork of the monsters and the lores for them. It is one of the game in particular that has captured my interest in the 2021 and I can say this is the only game that has my bigger portion of investments and other games are gone as scams where I lost some of my funds but Splinterlands has save my ass in that sense. The another good thing I want to mention that the lively and helpful community of the game has been one of the most amazing parts of my adventure through Splinterlands. I have discovered a sense of helpfulness and connection that has improved my whole gaming experience, from other players sharing gameplay methods and tips to devs interacting with the community to gather input and improve the game. In addition to improving my gaming experience, being a member of a group of people who are passionate about blockchain gaming has given me more options for networking, cooperation, and education.
You can find new opportunities are opening up as Splinterlands everyday as it develops and grows very smoothly througout these years. The advancement of land expansion, which will allow users to do many new things in the coming days is awesome for the game. Also, the revision in games rules, rewarding mechanisms are alsonevolving always to make the game fruitful for the community. Furthermore, by allowing players to engage in financial activities like staking and liquidity mining that can increase their earning potential and add a new level of passive income.
Making money
The chance to make real money while playing Splinterlands is one of the things that first attracted me in as a die-hard player. Because the game is based on the Hive blockchain, users may swap their in-game items for cryptocurrencies like Hive or DEC, the game's native currency, via decentralized exchanges. And later one the have introduced other coin Splintershards (SPS), voucher token and currently the glint token for the reward shopping purchases. Besides the following ways are very popular to earn money except the doing battle only.
- Renting cards in the rental card market
- Trading cards in the card market
- Liquidity providing in different pools in different chains
- Renting staked SPS
- Staking reward in SPS and voucher token
- Validator Node rewards
- Tournaments rewards
- Land rewards by mining SPS, Grains etc
- Different compettition in Hive blogs including social media challenge, art chllenge and so on
So there are more options than you can imagine to earn in Splinterlands if you compare with any games. Also, the Land Expansion 2.0 will enable more earning option by mining many new inds of minerals and crfting many new things. Also the scope of new spell or new cards will be also benficcial for more earning option which are planned for the future updates.
My tips for the beginners
So, here I am going to include some tips as a new comes in the game which will make your Splinterlands journey more smoother.
Learning best gaming strategy is the main thing to do better in the game, and it is going to be more important in the future as the developer is trying to minimize the use of BOTs which are being adopted by many new players who are investing in the game like knowing nothing about the future consequences.
As being not a financial expert, I want to suggest to spend money carefully, like bidding is the best strategy to build up your card collection rather than instant buy with higher price. Bidding will take some time but with highest bidding you can save time and money together.
As of now, most of the Splinterlands assets are so cheap which can be bought for the collectiomn build up. But still my recommendation is to split your funds into parts and observe and do some research on each assets before buying and try to buy parts by parts not all into a single trade.
For high level cards, my suggestion is to buy the max version of as many BCX as possible to get the cheapest deal, as single BCX is most costly but with the combines card you can buy at very cheap price.
Stake enough SPS to grab more rewards, and currently SPS is the most undervalued asset which is the most recommended asset to buy as regular burn is going to decrease supply soon as most of the SPS is coming to the circulation in much slower rate now.
Do proper analyse before buying the cards as most of the time cards loose most values, so be sure to buy the best and mostlu usuable cards in your collection.
If possible, buying gold foiled card is a better option to earn more rewards in each battle and they have other use cases to earn more.
Don't buy the old cards at the initial as the modern format is the most rewarding sector where oly limited cards can be used but wild format is for all editions. After some years you can't play the old cards in in the modern format so latest editon cards are best to buy which can be also used in wild formats in the future.
