It has been a true pleasure and honor to be able to collaborate with @EdenMichelle. I have a high respect and appreciation for her amazing production skills, her vast artistry skill levels, her soulful and hearttouching singing, layered creativity and harmonizing, and also her deep, thoughtful lyrics. She was a breeze to work with, we got this song done in no time and it felt so natural.
Let this collaboration be the first of many to be able to showcase the beautiful projects within the music realm that the Vibes Web3 Music Competition makes possible with all of us connecting with one another internationally.
Many people may make music just for fun, or for other gains and reasons, but for others, it is understood worldwide, the power and impact that music has. It literally can save lives and I am so happy the way this track turned out. Songs like these are the reason why I am always openminded when it comes to collaborating with other artists. Over the past couple weeks, @Verbal-D and I have been working on something super special and I’m really excited and honoured to be part of Vibes Week 11 with this beautiful entry.
After both our Vibes wins, before he became a judge, we started talking about working on a collaboration together and so the journey began.
@Verbal-D originally sent me the lyrics to this song with a beat he had made and what I felt like was a very catchy chorus. I wanted to bring my production into it and so I built a beat that I felt reflected the beauty of what he had written. I slowly started adding more elements, eventually writing my verse and then adding all the harmonies, final sprinkles and glitter to the mix. How cool that we also live in a world where we can share ideas and collab in two different countries, not even having met and have had made a song together?
I feel the lyrics speak beautifully on the journey of a Christian, the struggles of consistent and unwaivering faith, the judgement from the world, the doubt in our minds that others sometimes instill in us but ultimately and most importantly, the unconditional love that God offers to us as broken individuals.
I think it’s also amazing to be putting this out finally the week after Bobby Dones @bobbydones & @sekani won in week 10 as a collab/duo showing how we all collaborate as a community and that’s literally what this is all about. Making music, sharing music, incorporating different sounds and talents into different pieces of art.
