Wish Come True: A big chunk of Rambutan from Aunt Velyn Garden, Cravings Satisfied!

in HiveGarden10 months ago

Plant its seed to get a lot of fruits later. Take care of it, watch it grow, and then be amazed at how a simple seed can grow into a big tree that will later give you a prosperous harvest. Seriously, that's how amazing the world we live in is, a truly amazing Earth,

Trees take time to grow and bear fruit, but the wait is always worth it. And it can even be passed on to the next generation because of its long life span, as long as it stays standing even after the typhoon.

Anyhow, let me share these wonderful fruits that satiated my cravings yesterday and even today. Since I saw this fruit in Aunt Velyn's Garden, I have always wished that it ripened sooner. Well, I already know that it will happen soonest because I'm already seeing these Fruits in the market. Not long after that wishful thinking, it finally happened.

So what fruit is that?

Tadaaaaaaaaan! Tadaaaaaan! It's Rambutan Minna! I mentioned this in my recent article, if you have time, you can also visit it. I have a bunch of pictures of that HERE.

Look how beautiful and HAIRY they are, lol. But even those green rambutans tasted sweet. I tell you guys, I ate a lot of these yesterday until today. We still have some left, but they will be consumed in no time, for sure. We also give some of it to our neighbor, I mean, the closest one, lol.

IMG_20230802_121515.jpg

My oldies love the red one, while I love the green. They love that the red one tasted sweeter than that green, but seriously, I feel like they have the same level of sweetness. I'm not sure, but maybe there's a problem with my tongue, lol.

According to Mommy D, they harvested all the fruits on their tree. I'm not sure what the reason was, but maybe because of their bad neighbor. I mean, they are so rude and mean to Aunt Velyn, and they really have the guts to take some fruits of it. The audacity, my gosh. That's also the reason why Mommy D brought a lot of this here, not that I'm complaining, hehe. I'm in Rambutan Paradise right now! Me is happy └|∵|┐♪.

Now let me share the best way to eat Rambutan, just for me or how I did it. I picked lots of rambutans from the bag, peeled them one by one, and put them on the plate. I actually peeled a lot after taking this one and enjoyed it to the fullest, lol. I did this so that I could eat without stopping and just peel one again. Well, some still like it the normal way, but I like mine this way.

And to be honest, I also want to scrape the fruit out of the seed, but that will take a lot of time, and I am already drooling over it, so I just peel it and eat it. But the way I eat is also different because this is my favorite Variety of rambutan, which is Rongrien. This type can easily scrape the flesh from the seed. The only bad thing here is that even the skin from the seed will be scraped together with its flesh, and that is not good for the throat. But I don't know, I still love this type.

And, anyway, there's a way to separate the flesh from the seed, though you really have to be careful doing it. And yeah, it will really take a lot of your time. But there's nothing hard in it if my stomach wants it, lol.

IMG_20230802_124330.jpg

So how do I do it? I bite a little flesh from the fruit, and from there, I will now use my hand. I'm the one who will eat it anyway, so there's no need to be picky. So after biting it, just like in the picture, using my hand, I scraped the flesh out of it and slowly removed it.

There's still a little fragment of its skin that was scraped, but no problem, I can just easily bite it. And there you have it. Easy or hard? But the outcome is fruity, so └|∵|┐♪.

Hello HiveGarden Community! This is my first post here, but I am also one of the readers here. I've read lots of amazing articles here even before, and it always amazes me how some people are dedicated to taking care of their gardens. We also have a little garden, but it is still far from what others have. In fact, this one I'm sharing is from Aunt Velyn's garden, which is bigger than ours. And I had the chance to taste the fruits from one of the trees that was planted in her garden, called Rambutan.

I hope you enjoy reading it, and let me know if you've already tried this kind of fruit in the comment section. I think this is not that well known in other countries, but I'm not sure, so let me know, guys. Happy reading!

Those neighbours should put boundries if its not theirs they should just let it be..

I don't hate rambutan but I'm not too fond of eating it.. Coz i find it hard to eat it 😆 i just put it my mouth for a second feeling the juice and spit it out, still seeing the whites 😆 and in your case you are very good at eating these ruffatot hahaha i love how you explain how u eat them, maybe ill try your method next time,

Also we have the same platito 😆

Baka pwede magpadeliver dito sa mindanao with discount char. Naglalaway din ako sa mga pictures.

Ang mangain, hahaha. Gustuhin ko man kaso wala na ee huhu, bitin pa nga 😭😆

Ay okay lang ruffa sino ba naman ako 😭😭

This made me remember the Rambutan that I planted in my old vegetable garden. Both died because of the frequent flooding.

Awww, thats sad. Why not try it again?

I'll try once I got more a land plot that is not prone to flooding.

WoW I did not know this fruit looks like little eggs, has a seed inside I have a doubt what is the taste? They look like almonds

Hehe, right, a transparent one. They taste sweet and a little sour, it's hard to explain the taste but one thing is for sure, it is very delicious. I hope you get the change to taste it one day ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Wow, this is one of my favorites. It’s so nice of that that you have your own rambutan tree😍.

Hehehe, I'm so jealous too with Aunt Velyn coz they have this. Mom tried to plant some of this kaso di nabuhayan

Ahh ganon ba. Siguro minsan nasa tao talaga kung mabubuhay ba ang tanim o hindi. May seedling kami ng lanzones noon hindi nabuhay bat kapit bahay namin buhay ang kanila.

one of my faveee!!

You should buy na, as in right now hehe

My fave Ate!
