A hot and sunny day everyone, today We decided to take a visit to our Farm located in Barangay Poblacion Manticao, Misamis Oriental. This place particularly located at Zone 23 Barangay Poblacion near at the river. This was a good thing to do so that I can explored and relaxing myself from this hot and intense heat happens here in our Country. Because of the intense heat, our plants and crops are already dried and the most valuable plant affected is our coconut. My article for today is also serve as a quick tour around the place so that you can see what are the fruits trees, plants and how beautiful the area is.

Waiting for a Passenger Vehicle:

7 In the morning today, when we started to wait any passenger vehicles to passing by in this road. In this kind of time, there are only few vehicles running and it will take more time waiting for any vehicles. 7 AM but the sun was shinning very hot already, luckily there are many trees that can shade us from the Sun. I was enjoyed watching those vehicles passing buy and It takes almost an hour before we finally ride in a Tuk-Tuk vehicle.

By traveling, it also takes almost an hour depends on how fast the vehicle is. The road was very clear that is why we traveled a little bit fast than any rushed hour days. As we arrived at Zone 23, we crossed by the river and I observed that the river was continued to dry because of the heat comes from the sun.

Farm Quick Tour:

There are two parts of our Farm here in Zone 23, first is this area were many young coconut trees planted. Almost 400 coconut trees are already planted here and most of it are already produced more coconut fruits. The sad thing happen is most of the plants cannot produced coconut fruits for next harvesting season because of the intense heat, and some of it are already dry. The best thing we also did was to gathered those dry coconut palm for firewood uses. The leaves are put on the coconut trees so the the soil will not instantly dried. This will also serve as an organic fertilizer.

I am happy to see that some of our manggo trees also produced and bare more fruits. This manggo tree of mine produce fruits for the first time and as for the great news about, I take cared and wrapped the fruits with paper and plastic cellophane so that no harmful insects can sting the fruits that can lead to damage. I really excited to harvest this for the right time and sell those fruits to the market as our Family income.

We also checked some of our fruit trees like this one. In local term, this fruit tree is what we called Kaymeto but Star apple is also called. As I checked the tree, it was not still produced any fruits and the branches was continued to fall to the ground. This kind of tree is not really safe if we climb up because it will broke those branches very easily.

We called this kind of fruits, Eba. A kind of fruits that contains very sour flavor. We used this adding in different kinds of dish just like Fish soup, And stew. This is also a perfect for producing vinegar, just fermented the fruits for 1 week inside of the bottle and added with garlic, onions and chilli pepper.

The Second part of our Farm:

The second part of our Farm found this tall and old coconut trees. As my Grandfather says, that this trees grows 70 years already. Some of this coconut can't produced any fruits and we decided to cut and sell to the lumber shop. Almost 350 coconut trees can be seen and found here and most of it are ready to harvest for the next month.

Sinigang sa kamias!

Yan ba tawag dyan? 😁 Kamias?

Napakaasim ng prutas na to. Salamat sa pagbisita sa aking post kaibigang @dantrin . ☺️☺️

you may have confused Kamias with Kaimito. I believe star apple is different. :)

Yes, I don't know why some people called that kind of name.,☺️ But for me, I think this is not the real name, but I already go with the flow. 😂

Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day. ☺️

We also call that Eba in our dialect. It's used in different dishes, but sometimes we just eat the fruit raw dipped in salt, soy sauce or shrimp paste.

It's preferably to stay in a farm nowadays, just to take a shelter from the scorching heat in the city. That's nice to have such a place, you're blessed.

Exactly, most of the people lives in the cities decided to buy farm land in the Province or any rural areas, and live in the peaceful and relaxing place away from noises and heat.

Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day. ☺️
