The account in the Bible book of Acts Of Apostle Chapter ten shows how God is not partial and accept everyone that does his will. It shows how that thrist for good knowledge of Bible truth can be found in people of high statuses. Let's examine the events and learns from them.

The account talks about high ranked Roman Soldier who was named Cornelius. He is not a Jew but a Roman because Jewish kingdom and territories are under the superior powers of Rome. He lives in Antioch, a prosperous city at that region. Being a gentile, Jews are not expected to have dealings with them. In fact, they are unclean and uncircumcised so does not have part to worship God with them as majority of the Jews thought and believed.

Cornelius is special. He is devout Christian that fear God deeply. He have routine ways of worshipping God with his household and friends. Despite being a good Christian, he still needed to be associated and worship with others especially the Jews because they are first to receive the worship of God and their deep knowledge of God. But how can it be possible when there is huge dichotomy between these two groups?

Two events helps Apostle Peter to readjust his thinking and accept the God's view and his impartiality. Being in Joppa, he stays with a man that works with dead Animal's skin and use of dog's feaces. This kind of work irritates the Jews and avoid such people like plagues. But, Peter resides with him and saw his zeal to worship God. His love for God and live according his laws is more than his kind of job. Looking at his jobs, one will be mistaken and partial in dealing with him but Peter learned to be different which is how God wants.

Another occurrences is the trance, he saw. A white cloth with several dishes prepared from animals that Jews does not accept. They are unclean according to the mosaic laws and their overzealous understanding. A voice call out to him to eat from them. Apostle Peter rightly rejected it and called them unclean. After many occasions, it became clear to him that his thinking needed readjustment and correction. He accepted the truth and understood that latest God's view on matters of uncleanness and partiality.

To assist Cornelius, an angel inform him to sent for Apostle Peter and Angel too informed Peter of their coming. When his messagers arrived, Peter treated them very well and kindly. Then follow them with other Jewish brothers to the Cornelius house. Peter and other Jewish brother was surprised at the house of this Roman soldier. They were in large crowd that wanted to hear from them. They welcomed and care for them happily. It's marvelous because this is first of its kind. Peter taught them and empowered them with accurate knowledge of God. They even received holy spirits before baptism. Another first of its kind. All these shows that God is kind to everyone and impartial.

Significances Of This Event

How should we look at others of different tribe, languages, skin color and backgrounds from us? We should be kind to everyone and deal with them impartilly. Never let down on anyone or disrespectful. We are of one race_ human race and should treat each other with love.

When we segregated people and be impartial. We are not good Christian as God will want us to be. We should love each other and care for them.

We live in a world of too much racisms happening everywhere. If we can be impartial in our ways as a believer, then we are doing the right thing here.

That's a great lesson learnt. Thanks so much
