The 100-Day Project, Day 74, 75, 76 - Showtime, Packing Up and Homecoming

in GEMS27 days ago

Once again, I am rolling three days of the 100-Day Project into a single post because I simply have not had enough time on my hands during the past few days sit down and write.

Our fully set up vendor tables

After a somewhat slow start on Friday evening, which mostly consisted of a meet-and-greet session and a few panel discussions, the UFO/Paranormal Summit went into full swing on Saturday.

The vendor area stayed busy most of the time with occasional slow periods during the times when there were lectures and presentations going on in the main hall.

Although I had a steady stream of customers come by my table, it was quite evident that the show was not as well attended as in past years and that people seemed quite nervous about spending money.

Granted, this was the first year since Covid that this event was being held, and it had been put together on somewhat short notice.

You could also see this because the festivities ended at 6:00 PM on Saturday, rather than going to 8:00 PM and then from 9:00 AM till 2:00 PM again on Sunday.

Thankfully we were giving the extra night's stay at the hotel, so we didn't have to load up the truck and drive home in pouring rain on Saturday night.

All in all that would have to say when you get

Day 76 Stone Painting:

There are just 24 days left in the challenge, but I figured I'd better get back to keeping some kind of creative schedule and seeing this thing through!

Since the new spiral designs were much admired over the weekend, I thought I'd start on one of the large blank stones I didn't get around to painting before running out of time. Won't be able to finish it today, but at least I can get started.

I had quite a few people remark on the similarities to spiral galaxies, and I guess there is definitely some truth to that. These stones are very time consuming so this is as far as I got with it.

Tomorrow will hopefully mark some semblance of a return to regular posting for the remainder of the Project.

I appreciate you coming to visit and please do leave a comment if you feel so inclined!

Thank You!

Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.

Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and support!

That's creativity at it's finest 😁 I didn't know that we could turn rocks into something this creative. Thanks for sharing it.
