La primera vez que leí a Sarah Dessen, quedé sorprendida por como se dirigía a los jóvenes, su narrativa juvenil. El primer libro fue Just Listen, les dejaré la sinopsis del libro para que sepan de que va y les explicaré un poco, mi percepción de él.

Just Listen fue un libro crudo y directo, que leí por el 2009, mas o menos, no llegaba ni a 15 años cuando lo leí, y empecé a entender ciertos ámbitos o problemas que antes no entendía, pero que la autora Sarah, explicaba de una manera que te guiaba a madurar, aceptar y crecer. Leer los libros de esta autora, me guiaron a enfrentar de manera mas adulta, mis conflictos o problemas durante mi adolescencia, aparte que me llevó a cultivar un gusto musical mas ecléctico, y empecé a amar cantantes o bandas como The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Queen, entre otras bandas de los70s u 80s.
Leer libros de autores extranjeros, me llevó a pensar diferente de mis amigos o compañeros, y eso se notó en la manera en que tomaba decisiones, por eso es importante elegir bien el tipo de literatura que consume tu mente. Algunos libros pueden guiarte por el buen camino mientras otros, puede alejarte de la realidad, sino sabes distinguir entre ficción y realidad.
Esta autora, me guío a querer escribir el género adulto joven, y hacerlo de una manera que pudiera ser un apoyo y una guía para aquellos adolescentes o jóvenes que necesitaran un consejo, solo que implícito en la historia, de manera que esto influyera en su manera de actuar o reaccionar, sin ellos darse cuenta. Una buena influencia. Por eso como escritores tenemos que tener en cuenta que estamos transmitiendo a la hora de escribir, porque podemos ser guías o perdición para otras personas.

Elegir un tema, escribir sobre tu vida u otra, puede ser ventajoso, pero tenemos que tener cuidado con el mensaje que dejamos al finalizar la historia o lo que engloba lo que contamos. Como escritor, tener el poder de usar las palabras para bien o para mal, poder construir y fortalecer vidas o destruirlas desde los cimientos.
Y lo que escribas, puede durar siglos, incluso más, porque un libro puede permanecer mas tiempo que cualquier ser humano, dependiendo de su cuidado. Así que te animo a siempre sembrar con tus palabras, el bien, la bondad, el amor, el éxito, el optimismo y la felicidad. Y si usas la tristeza u otra cosa realista y dura, que sea para marcar un punto, como, por ejemplo, que necesitamos sentirlo, como todas las emociones, pero es solo algo momentáneo o pasajero, que con fortaleza podemos superar. Nunca sembrar esa emoción en toda la historia, sin marcar que podemos salir de ella.
