If you already followed me and read my artiles recently, you might already known that recently i had some business to do in Cibubur, an area in East Jakarta. I had gone there by online taxi.... but after my business there finished i then decided to have an adventure and trying to take the fast train i never had before.
The fast train named LRT train, an abbreviation of Light Rail Transit train which had lighter dimension and slimmer than the traditional ones. The train itself started its' operation on August 28th, 2023. It's even not yet a year has operated.
To get the access to the Harjamukti station, i needed to walk around 5-10 minutes to reach it because it was outside the Cibubur Junction, shopping center where i had had my meatballs brunch.
Inside of the station i right away went to the 2nd floor where the gates were located. We could pass it with the banking cash cards we had, or the special train card one. It was comforting to know that the train would depart in 2 minutes, i still had time to go to their other floor to catch the train.
In order to reach my destination station, i should pass 10 other stations. I was in Harjamukti Station and my destination was Dukuh Atas Station. So, i should pass Ciracas Station, Kampung Rambutan Station, TMII Station, Cawang Station, Ciliwung Station, Cikoko Station, Pancoran Station, Kuningan Station, Rasuna Said Station and Setia Budi Station.
Lucky for me i was not waiting my train for a long time, the train which had red color came. And what i found inside was nice. It had blue long sofa chairs. You could also see the handles there, so i you couldn't get any chairs you could stand and hold the handles. The train also completed with air conditioners so it was cool even the sun shone bright that day.
What made me surprised was when the train operated, it didn't need any driver. They already programmed the train so it could be automatically operated. You could see there was no one in the driver's area. I already took a picture of it, find it..
This train also cleaned regularly by the cleaning service there so they kept it clean and hygienic. And also from this train you would be able to see Jakarta scenery from height of course.
After the 10 stops finally i reached my destination, Dukuh Atas station.. And i really surprised when i tapped out by using my bank card because the fare was just 10K IDR or only 0.63 USD. It was really cheap cause i had a long trip and the train was fast and comfortable. So it was nice to have this trip, i really enjoyed it!
