Is it me or has it gotten quiet on POB?
Is this a consequence of the drama that happened in the past dozen days?
Can a dip in the price be the reason?
Is it because it's turning into the summer holiday in a lot of places around the world and people are taking a little break from the blockchain?
I don't know.
But I think it's a shame.
I understand the hesitancy of writing when things felt uneasy yet know that this happens ALL THE TIME on the blockchain.
Drama comes and goes.
It's part of the evolution and growing up of a community.
POB is just a few months old. Things need tweaking and working out. And in that process, 'mistakes' will be made and it is how they are handled that show the true potential for the the future.
My suspicions were confirmed by @interpretation in the post Community Growth Report for 23rd June 2021.
I think it's time to show up and do the thing, whatever the circumstances are.
In order for any community to thrive, there needs to be consistency. And deciding NOT to write because of some stuff going on (I am assuming that's the reason here ofcourse) is actually making the situation worse.
So get your writing hat on, get scribbling and get posting!
And also, I'd love to see a larger variety of posts. Not just POB related stuff.
Me writing this is also a reminder to myself to start writing more!
I am keeping my eye out for people who are proactively on here and am supporting them!

Welcome to the doldrums.
This is where we wait for more than a few hundred people to show up and play our game.
I am looking forward to the moment when there are a lot more writers on here!
We are about to have all we can handle, presuming the hbd peg holds.
After 5 years, though, I'm not holding my breath.
Surely that euphoria we were at the beginning was more for the price of the token value itself than for content creation.
Just drop prices that some stop. I even wrote about it.
There's also the fact of the hectic weeks that have been around here.
But this is good. Because that way it filters and eliminates people who are were here more for value than content ;)
That's the way I see it too. I am keeping a keen eye on who's posting and who's not. It's showing people's true colours :)
I don't think any particular reason is there for writers to stop now. For me Every day at POB is exciting and full of surprises. I am making new friends, interacting with others. It's only because of POB I gained confidence as I am having dull days on hive. Mostly I write poetry but now I have started about movies, motivation, crypto, life etc. Thanks to POB. I have been lucky so far as I am getting appreciated here thanks to POB Family. But no doubt we need more writers and curators. But I believe in POB and I will do my best. More Power to POB 💥🙏
Well yes, there is some activity but not as much as before! Happy you are happy here :) I am too!
I think a lot of people were concerned. Maybe some are moving away from POB because of it? I'm still here and posting across multiple frontends as ever! Hopefully it will pick back up a bit.
I honestly think a lot of the rewards being payed out were from curation trails and some of the big accounts! Since POB is on vacation and voting less, and Cal and others stopped their trails it has led to less rewards to the average author so they may feel there is less incentive to post until they see more activity...

I agree with you and I think it's a combination of several factors that have played out over the last few weeks.
Let's see what the space looks like in a month's time.
I'll still be here! No sense in giving up when I am earning decent returns from across Hive. Besides it is really more about getting content out there and building it up for myself! Rewards are wonderful and allow people some measure of income from doing what they love but if we weren't passionate about what we are doing here then what would be the point!

Yes there is a sudden silence on the platform since last couple of days and you have identified the right reasons for the same. I am sure, as these factors improve like the price of hive goes up resulting in more hive for a pob and the whales start voting big on the platforms, I am very sure the writers would come back soon
I hope so.
I think we need to attract more writers to get more diversity on here too.

I took the weekend off too. Needed a little me time.
Well I do believe that the drama and the fear of being caught in between them titans go to war is the major reason why the actions has reduced here lately. We've all see how the impact can be like and the price is another thing.
Yeah, it's all 'bad' timing in a sense.
But also, it's showing us who's here for the price and who's here for the community right? :)
Right... Truth is, I believe in the future of POB, I just think the Incentives to be here is really good, it was painful to see that drama happen and shake everything.
I can't really tell what's with the slow is post in the community. Maybe is because of the fight and beat up of downvote or fear ,🤷 is still unclear to me.
However I believe this is not the best time for writers to take a rest or relax rather is a period and season to put in more effort to strengthen the activity on the tribe for the growth of pob.
