Today I share with you this beautiful passage from the sacred scriptures where it reminds us that as believers we are instruments in the hands of God to spread his light and his message, and that our confidence is not in our own strength, but in the power of God who works through us. through us.

For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for the love of Jesus. For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, is the One who shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the excellence of the power may be from God, and not from us, who are troubled in every way, but not distressed; in trouble, but not desperate; persecuted, but not abandoned; knocked down, but not destroyed; always carrying the death of Jesus everywhere in the body, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

2 Corinthians 4:5-10

The Apostle Paul begins by pointing out that God is the one who has made light shine in the darkness, and that same light shines in the hearts of those who believe in Jesus Christ. This light illuminates the knowledge of the glory of God manifested in the person of Jesus Christ.
He then makes an analogy, comparing believers to clay vessels containing priceless treasure. The clay vessels represent our human fragility and limitations, while the treasure is the message of the gospel and the presence of God in our lives.
Paul goes on to explain that the reason God chooses to use earthen vessels is so that the excellence of the power may be God's and not ours. That is, to show that true power and the ability to transform come from God and not from our personal abilities or strengths.
Despite the difficulties and tribulations we face as believers, Paul says we are not helpless. Although we may be troubled, we are not abandoned by God. Although we may be in trouble, we are not desperate. Although we may be persecuted, we are not alone. Although we may be knocked down, we are not destroyed.
And it ends, talking about carrying the death of Jesus in our bodies, which means identifying with his suffering and death on the cross. But this is not the end, as we also hope to experience the life of Jesus in us, his resurrection and his transforming power.

Hoy les comparto este hermoso pasaje de las sagradas escrituras donde nos recuerda que como creyentes somos instrumentos en manos de Dios para difundir su luz y su mensaje, y que nuestra confianza no está en nuestras propias fuerzas, sino en el poder de Dios que obra a través de nosotros.

Porque no nos predicamos a nosotros mismos, sino a Jesucristo como Señor, y a nosotros como vuestros siervos por amor de Jesús. Porque Dios, que mandó que de las tinieblas resplandeciese la luz, es el que resplandeció en nuestros corazones, para iluminación del conocimiento de la gloria de Dios en la faz de Jesucristo. Pero tenemos este tesoro en vasos de barro, para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios, y no de nosotros, que estamos atribulados en todo, mas no angustiados; en apuros, mas no desesperados; perseguidos, mas no desamparados; derribados, pero no destruidos; llevando en el cuerpo siempre por todas partes la muerte de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestros cuerpos.

El Apóstol Pablo comienza señalando que Dios es el que ha hecho resplandecer la luz en las tinieblas, y esa misma luz brilla en los corazones de quienes creen en Jesucristo. Esta luz ilumina el conocimiento de la gloria de Dios manifestada en la persona de Jesucristo.
Luego hace una analogía, comparando a los creyentes con vasos de barro que contienen un tesoro invaluable. Los vasos de barro representan nuestra fragilidad y limitaciones humanas, mientras que el tesoro es el mensaje del evangelio y la presencia de Dios en nuestras vidas.
Pablo continúa explicando que la razón por la que Dios elige usar vasos de barro es para que la excelencia del poder sea de Dios y no nuestra. Es decir, para mostrar que el verdadero poder y la capacidad de transformación vienen de Dios y no de nuestras habilidades o fortalezas personales.
A pesar de las dificultades y tribulaciones que enfrentamos como creyentes, Pablo dice que no estamos desamparados. Aunque podemos ser atribulados, no somos abandonados por Dios. Aunque podemos estar en apuros, no estamos desesperados. Aunque podemos ser perseguidos, no estamos solos. Aunque podemos ser derribados, no somos destruidos.
Y termina , hablando de llevar en nuestros cuerpos la muerte de Jesús, lo que significa identificarnos con su sufrimiento y muerte en la cruz. Pero esto no es el final, ya que también esperamos experimentar la vida de Jesús en nosotros, su resurrección y su poder transformador.
