Good evening friends, may God bless you, today I share with you a passage from the sacred scriptures that is a continuation of yesterday's topic, these verses highlight the paradox of the Christian life: through spiritual death and self-sacrifice, believers experience the life of Jesus in them and have hope for the future resurrection. Active faith is manifested in words and actions, and the promise of the resurrection is a source of hope and comfort for believers.
For we who live are always given over to death for the sake of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death acts in us, and life in you. But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written: I believed, therefore I spoke, we also believe, therefore we also spoke, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us together with you.
2 Corinthians 4:11-14

Paul begins by describing how Christians are constantly facing death because of their relationship with Jesus. This does not necessarily mean that they are dying physically all the time, but rather that they are experiencing spiritual death and a daily sacrifice of their own wills and desires in favor of following Christ. This process of dying to self is considered essential for the life of Jesus to manifest in them. In other words, by giving up their own selfish ambitions and desires, believers make room for the life of Jesus to be manifested in and through them.
Paul goes on to explain that although they are experiencing this daily death, they also have the same faith that allows them to speak and act accordingly. Here, he refers to Psalm 116:10 which says "I believed, therefore I spoke." That is, faith in Jesus is not just a passive belief, but is manifested in actions and words. Believers speak and act in line with their faith in Christ.
The apostle then shares a fundamental truth of the Christian faith: hope in the resurrection. Just as God raised Jesus from the dead, he will also raise those who believe in him. This promise of resurrection not only applies to individuals, but also to the community of believers. Paul says that both they and the Corinthians will be resurrected and presented together before God.

La fe activa se manifiesta en palabras y acciones, y la promesa de la resurrección es una fuente de esperanza y consuelo para los creyentes.
Porque nosotros que vivimos, siempre estamos entregados a muerte por causa de Jesús, para que también la vida de Jesús se manifieste en nuestra carne mortal. Pablo comienza describiendo cómo los cristianos están constantemente enfrentando la muerte debido a su relación con Jesús. Esto no significa necesariamente que estén muriendo físicamente todo el tiempo, sino que están experimentando una muerte espiritual y un sacrificio diario de sus propias voluntades y deseos en favor de seguir a Cristo. Este proceso de morir a uno mismo se considera esencial para que la vida de Jesús se manifieste en ellos. En otras palabras, al renunciar a sus propias ambiciones y deseos egoístas, los creyentes abren espacio para que la vida de Jesús se manifieste en ellos y a través de ellos.
Pablo continúa explicando que, aunque están experimentando esta muerte diaria, también tienen la misma fe que les permite hablar y actuar en consecuencia. Aquí, hace referencia al Salmo 116:10 que dice "Creí, por lo cual hablé". Es decir, la fe en Jesús no es solo una creencia pasiva, sino que se manifiesta en acciones y palabras. Los creyentes hablan y actúan en línea con su fe en Cristo.
Y para culminar el apóstol luego comparte una verdad fundamental de la fe cristiana: la esperanza en la resurrección. Así como Dios resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos, también resucitará a aquellos que creen en él. Esta promesa de resurrección no solo se aplica a los individuos, sino también a la comunidad de creyentes. Pablo dice que tanto ellos como los corintios serán resucitados y presentados juntos ante Dios.
