Trying out the Zebra Stripe

in Canna-Curate24 days ago (edited)

These buds have been curing for around a month, and with the minimum amount of time waited I am trying out these nugs. Normally three months is needed for a full cure. But I can start enjoying them now, as most of the leafy taste is gone. I take a jar and pour it out on a tray so we can have a closer look at the buds.

Lots of crystals, and purple nugs. Looking at the parent strains that made Zebra Stripe it could have THC levels as high as 25% The purple colors come through when the buds get cold while the lights are off. The tent got down to around 65F some nights which started turning the buds that color. 55F we would have seen an even more dramatic color shift. Loving purples

Its always hard waiting for the buds to cure enough, they smell so good when I open the jars to burp them. The fruity smell is very strong. When I harvested these plants it made the whole place smell like dank fruit smell.

Looking inside the jars everything is drying nicely. I need to make sure buds do not clump together, a gentle shake will dislodge any that have done that.

Breaking up the buds in my grinder I put them out on a card to hold it. I pack my Volcano vaporizer and try out the Zebra Stripe strain. Its fruity, just like its smell. The flavor is quite strong. The feeling is good too, I think I am really going to enjoy this strain once it fully cures. The buds get stronger the more time I wait during this stage. But it was great to try out some of it to see how its coming along.

The Zweet Inzanity plants are doing well, vegging and getting bigger.

I have topped them once now, and also trimmed the under branches no longer getting light. So hopefully they form some really strong nodes going up and will be ready in a week or so to go outside. Currently it is still getting too cold at night to bring them outside, with temperatures getting down into the 30s I need to wait until this no longer happens. But soon it will be time.

Soon I will reach the point of no return for these plants, and will be destined to grow outside. Already getting quite big in the tent, but outside I plan on giving them lots of room.

I don't know if it's a good thing that the buds are ripe, but they actually look very good, and knowing that their aroma is fruity makes it very interesting @solominer

The ripeness of the buds is determined with a microscope while the plants are still alive.

But now they are harvested I must wait for them to cure, this gets rid of the leaf taste in the buds. The chlorophyll and such take a long time to fully leave the buds.

It is evident that you have a lot of passion for what you do, I appreciate all this information
have a beautiful sunday

Sent this post of yours to a friend, he loves weed and he's going to be impressed when he sees these images haha

haha nice, if hes a fan of purple frosty weed he should like it for sure.

You have good will power and patience to wait a month to sample your harvest lol, and yes 3 months will be a tasty vape! I will sample a wet nug off a growing plant haha, sticky fingers can’t help themselves

Hehe yeah it's hard to wait. But that leafy taste that comes through when it's still wet is a bit much for me.

But if your okay with it then have at it.

This plant is really doing good. I Love the leaf

Thank you, its such a cool plant. Its linage comes from South Africa.

Wow this method of curing on this plant really make sense to the place. It grows well. Thanks for sharing

Yep using mason jars has worked well for me, I find its important to only half fill them so the air can move around the buds good.

They look very nice, especially in the last photos. Good luck :)

I have not seen these plants before and the leaf is nice by design and long for a second plant. You have so much knowledge about farming.

Thank you, yeah the leaves are quite pretty.

They turned out great! Was the zebra stripe an auto?

Well I thought it was an auto, but I realized I messed up on the lighting schedule so they may be photoperoid after all.

I never knew you’re a weed lover. That’s so good to know

Yep sure do love them.

is this marijuana?

yeah I once enjoyed marijuana by adding it to cigarettes, every time I smoked it was like being lulled into a dream and a little imagination appeared,, haaaa

yep sure is... hah cool yeah you can hide it well in cigarettes.

Hah nice, sounds like you had a good time.

Yeah right,, and it's a lot of fun ☺️☺️

Hello dear friend @solominer good afternoon
What a great job you are doing, and how good that even though it has only been cured for a month, you are already trying it and knowing that its flavor matches its fruity aroma, without a doubt when it finishes curing you will have a very good product. good quality
Regarding the growth of the ¨Zweet Inzanity¨ plants, they are evolving well, the time will undoubtedly come to take these plants outside, but with the temperature you mention, perhaps we will have to wait a while longer
Thank you very much for sharing all this information
Have a great start to the week

They sure are good now they are starting to cure. And yeah I think so.. waiting for temps to stay above 50f before putting them outside. So just a few days now.

Awesome look buds man. I love when they get the purple colors.

Thanks man, me too.. the purples always look so cool.

Some beautiful purps in that Zebra Stripe man. It looks like some really good bud.

The Zweet Inzanity looks super healthy and I love how the green shades look throughout the foliage. Can't wait to see those buds. Nice work man.

I am glad they came out purple a little, their new grow tent was in a warmer part of the house so its good to know I can still turn them purple.

They are vegging quite nicely. Thanks man

I was very impressed to see such lush plants. I really like the consequences in the field of agriculture or cultivation of plants.

They sure are looking good, thanks a lot.

You're welcome. Have a nice day 🤝👍🍻

If we all want to make our house beautiful then we have to plant such beautiful plants inside the house, you have made them with hard work.

Thanks, they are some great plants.

Most welcome dear.

Those purple buds look very attractive, luckily I already have 4 cured genetics all with more than 1 month, even there is one that has 6 months which is the Kalimist #1 and has a great taste.

The good thing is that you are testing the vaporizer so you can taste them well, a few months ago I bought a vaporizer very minmalista named biovapo and in my profile I already have several tests of the different genetics that I am testing and everything has gone great, the flavors of the plants and effect are incredible, so I will always be growing cannabis until I can and I've already started with the new season and new genetics.

I agree with you on the vape, the flavors that come through are really strong. Usually they are cancelled out by the smoke when using a pipe..

I prefer the Volcano Digit, also I have a Mighty+

All I do is vape now, rarely smoke unless enjoying a blunt with a friend.

Yes, is that the fact of vaporizing and understand the difference, besides the taste that is a thousand times better than the burnt taste, after you already have some time makes you reject the smoke and combustion, in fact it is the ideal way to perceive the taste of the plants, when combustion is very difficult to perceive it, besides that much of everything is damaged medicinal.
