With you here is Oluwafunmilayo, a newbie here on Hive. I'd be writing my introduction post to the Hivelearners community.
Introduction
My name is Oluwafunmilayo, and I'm a graduate of the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
I studied agricultural extension and rural development, and I’m currently serving my country in the big city of Lagos.
How I Got To Know About Hive
I got to know about Hive through @ebass, who encouraged me to come be part of the family, and was onboarded by @starstrings01.
I'm really grateful to be a part of this family. I hope I get to meet up with new people and make friends with them soonest.
Because I can be very shy whenever I'm around people. Especially if it's a place where I'm unknown. But trust me to be a very friendly person, and I'm open to meeting new people and making friends with them.
My Business
Career-wise I own an online store where I sell jewelry, @funmijewelry on Instagram, and I'm also a fashion designer. Although I haven't been consistent with my fashion design since I started my NYSC.
Because it has always been stressful to go out and come back most times late at night. And for that sake, there's not much time to practice and learn more about it.
But regardless of the situation, I still create time out of my free time to practice, explore more, and learn a new skill.
I am currently working on developing relevant skills that will be useful to my career and trying to be better for myself.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include cooking,singing, traveling, and hanging out with my loved ones 😊.
1) Hanging Out: One of my favorite things to do is hang out with loved ones and create memories. It's always a moment I look up to because, why not? Everyone loves to be around people that they love and that are personal; it makes me feel good.
2) I Love Good Music And Love To Sing🥰: Loving good music seems normal to many. I come from a family where music is loved and welcomed. I love music so much, and it is one of my favorite hobbies. Be it gospel or circular music I'm a lover of good music, and I love to sing good music too effortlessly.
3) Travelling: Traveling has to be one of my favorite things to do. I like to meet new people on a daily basis. I'm a very friendly person, but I can be very shy sometimes. If you aren't really close to me, you wouldn't get to know that part of me.
4) Cooking: I've always loved to cook since I was young because I find pleasure in doing that. I remember how I always wanted to become a chef while growing up as a young girl. It's something I really find myself doing with no stress, even though I see a lot of people who find it really hard to cook, and then I wonder why... LoL 😅.
My Reasons For Coming To Hive
I joined hive because I see it as an opportunity for me to share and also express myself via writing and creating contents and also to see from different perspectives what life is about. To learn from people with better views and versions.
I'd put in my possible best and make an effort to engage with others, explore, and try not to be shy about asking questions about things I'm yet to understand.
I really can't wait to meet y'all, make new friends, and explore. I have heard lots of things about hive from @ebass and how fun and amazing it is.
And he has made it clear to me that as long as I abide by the rules and regulations, I'll definitely have a great time here.
