It's been so long I read a book that I've forgotten there's this elegance that comes with it, reading a book I mean.
My school's exam commenced today, and luckily for me, I graduated last year and no longer a student of this school, so all of that exam stress is now in the past for me now, but while I watched some of my friends prepare and try to do some last minute reading, I noticed one of them was reading a book, one I had thought was a novel but turned out to be seventeen short stories put in one book.
I had immediately asked him to lend it to me, for mainly two reasons, the first being that I've been feeling real bored lately and reading a book (or in this case, seventeen short stories) would help a lot in battling with this boredom. The second reason was simply because it's been a while I read a book, like an actual book.
Technology has taken over everything that we no longer do things the way it used to be, nowadays we do everything looking at a screen. We no longer do things like write letters with pen on a piece of paper, or read a good old fashion book without trying to get a pdf version of it online. Don't get me wrong, these are welcomed technological improvements but there are times when we miss how things were being done during the old days, the feeling you get when you flip to the next page of that book rather than scroll up or down.
I remember the first time I read my first real novel. I call it a "real novel" because everything I had read up till then were for school and were forced on me, unlike this romance novel that I had stumbled on one day at home and got captivated by it story. When I was done with it, I tried getting others but I was still a little kid then and these novels were expensive to get, so I had settled for the next best thing, the online books.
And ever since then, I've always gone online whenever I felt like reading a book but you see, today I kinda had like an awakening, one that reminded me of my young self all those years ago who wanted to get a novel but couldn't afford one, well now I can and I plan to.

Reading physical book is very useful and give us the best feeling. Online book is also good but compared to physical book it's not so significant in my opinion.
I also agree with you.. Also, having to read online requires a lot of screen time which really isn't healthy for our eyes.
