Classic Car and Eco Car
I saw a cool classic car in town the other day. It was a very funky Plymouth Road Runner. The colour was metallic orange, and it was customized very well. The body was clean, smooth, and well-maintained.
Though I couldn't hear the sound of the engine, I imagined it was as cool as the body. The Road Runner was built by Plymouth in the United States between 1968 and 1980. Wow, it's a pretty old car. I don't recognize this car's generation, but it must be pretty old for sure.
I don't drive classic cars myself, but I like to check them out. When I was young, I wanted to have my own classic car, but I realized that it's so challenging to maintain one.
I heard that a few years ago, Canadian new rules would require zero-emissions vehicles. It includes battery electric, hydrogen, and plug-in electric vehicles — to make up 20 percent of all new car sales in 2026, 60 percent in 2030, and 100 percent in 2035,' the reports said.
We have been leasing cars since 2017 and have changed our cars twice between 2017 and 2024. Soon, we are going to make a new leasing contract for another car. I like leasing cars because it's easy to maintain them and always able to upgrade to the newer model. There are some benefits to leasing cars for us. After one more lease, we have to think about changing to an eco-car.
Back to the classic car story, I wish people could keep these cool classic cars and change them to eco cars.
The Plymouth Road Runner was sitting in a parking lot. It caught my eye. Every time I see cool cars like this, I pause for a while and observe them.
The owner maintained it very well. There was no damage at all.
Oh, I love the triangle-looking window like this. There is an interesting indicator on its body. I've never seen this style before.

クラシックカーとエコカー
先日、町でかっこいいクラシックカーを見かけました。とてもファンキーなプリムス・ロードランナーでした。色合いはメタリックオレンジで程よいカスタムがしてありました。車体はきれいで、滑らかで手入れがいき届いていました。
エンジンの音を聞くことはできませんでしたが、車体のそれと同じようにカッコ良い音なのだろうと想像がつきました。ロードランナーはプリムス製で１９６８年から１９８０年の間に生産されていたようです。わぁ、けっこう古い世代の車なのですね。この見かけた型はいつの年代なのかはわかりませんが、割と古いものなのではないかと思います。
自分ではクラシックカーは運転しませんが見るのが好きです。若い頃、自分のクラシックカーが欲しいなと思ったことがありますが、維持するのが相当大変なのだろうと思ってやめました。
数年前、カナダの新しい規則では「ゼロエミッション規則が義務付けられます。これにはバッテリー電気自動車、水素自動車、プラグイン電気自動車が含まれていて、２０２６年には全新車販売の２０パーセント、２０３０年には６０パーセント、２０３５年には１００パーセントを占めるだろう」と報告書は述べています。
我が家では２０１７年から車をリースしています。２０２４年までの間に２度リースを書き換えて新しい車をリースしてきました。もう時期リースの更新があるので、また新しい車のリースをする予定です。手入れがしやすいのと常に新しい車をリースできるので、私はリースが気に入っています。自分たちには利点がたくさんあるように感じます。次のリースが終わったら、今度はエコカーに変える必要があると考えています。
クラシックカーの話に戻りますが、クラシックカーをエコカーに改造できるといいのですが。
プリムス・ロードランナーが駐車場に停まっているのが目に留まりました。このようなかっこいい車を見るといつもしばらく立ち止まって観察してしまいます。
この持ち主さんはとてもよく手入れをしているようですね。ダメージが全くありません。
この三角窓が素敵ですね。車体のフロントには面白い見た目のインディケーターがついています。このようなスタイルを見たのは初めてです。

後側から見ても、とても素敵です。後部にはかっこいいエアロパーツが設置されています。

I like the features of new cars. The lane assist and adaptive cruse control are very nice, and of course GPS. But old cars do look very cool! Oh—and that little triangle window. People always called those smokers windows. Those are so convenient. You can open them and let air in without blasting yourself in the face. I wish newer cars still did it.
Yes, I agree with you. Old cars do look very cool! New cars are easier and smoother.
