Manga Mondays #3 Share Some Manga Recommendations

in The Anime Realmlast month

mangamondays.png

It's a new weekly series like AskAnime where I ask for Manga recommendations. I binge read a lot of manga so I tend to run out of titles on a weekly basis so it'd be great if you guys can give me some recommendations.

#mangamonday3:

Share a manga you've recently read. MUST BE COMPLETED.

NOTES FROM THE PREVIOUS WEEK

I've already sent some tips to those that engaged with the post. I saw nobody made a separate post using the #mangamonday2 tag.
Some of the commenters of the previous week are set to receive part of the beneficiary rewards from this post as part of the engagement incentives.
If any of you guys want to host your contests on the Anime Realm community, let us know first.

Mechanics:

  1. Entry can either be a comment under this post or a separate post with a hashtag #mangamonday3. Please note the number "3" at the end of the hashtag is an indicator of the week number and it'll help me search for recent entries on the succeeding weeks. Making a separate post is preferred but settling for a comment is fine too.

  2. If you make a separate post about the recommendation, you don't need to specify that it's "Manga Monday Contest Entry 2" or something along those lines, just post it like any regular review post on the community. This isn't a formal contest as the criteria is just looking recommendations to read about.

  3. Reblogs or upvotes are appreciated but not necessary. Just comment the recommendation or make a post about the manga, that'd be fine.

  4. It doesn't necessarily have to be a manga, it can be a manhwa or manhua.

  5. If you already made a post about your recommendation, let's say a manga review posted months to years ago, drop it here as an entry.

  6. You can do multiple entries in the comments or post but bear in mind that if you shill me a bucket list of titles, I'd probably ignore it.

  7. Community mods will be curating the entries for engagement. This doesn't mean big votes, we could just be handing out Hive tips for those that engage more just as what we do on AskAnime weekly.

  8. Deadline for entries will be 12 AM Thursday of the week New York Time EDT. That will give you ample time to come up with a post should you prefer to do separate posting for an entry. If you're bothered with the time zones, you can just make a mental note that that age of this post doesn't get passed 2 days before you make an entry to play it safe.

We'll be incorporating this weekly event on our Monthly Anime Realm Quests in the future. But for now, it isn't included in the monthly tasks for April.

Hi, here's one for you. It has very good story and it is not so long. The genre is martial arts, but it also has comedy and good drama. Tough is its name

Not really looking for fighting MMAs at the moment, I'm still reading Kengan Ashura, and Kengan Omega which may take a while before I see other fighting manga

I understand. Well, you have a future option. Tough in my personal opinion is better than Kengan Ashura and Omega. I really don't understand why they never animated it.

I really don't understand why they never animated it.

It has 2 seasons already.

This Tough has not been animated, manga only.

Ah, thought you were referring to Kengan.

Haha, no, Kengan I already saw it and read it too, though only up to the end of Ashura. Omega didn't catch my attention

Daemons of the Shadow Realm from the same author of Full Metal Alchemist.

The art style screams FMA. Is it completed?

not yet completed. Yea, the art is similar to FMA and the protagonists are brother and sister instead of two brothers. 😀

The post is asking for completed manga. just an FYI.

Oh, gomen nasai. Brain fart...my bad. 😌

let me try again...Delicious in Dungeon or Dungeon Meshi. The manga is finished though the anime is still in Netflix.

Recently, I just finished reading Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, and the ending was pretty satisfying! I really wanted to say something about how it ended, but I don't want to spoil! Btw, I think it has 127 chapters, and every chapter was really entertaining to read! Also, I have finished a completed manhwa just recently, and it's The Tainted Half. Although it started quite gloomily, the way it ended was wholesome (beware, it can be smutty, tho. hehehe ´-﹏-`;). It has only 40 chapters, btw (too few; I wish it would have lasted longer...).

I also read hell paradise and it was worth it
A very interesting manga to it and the characters are so interesting. It pained me that some of my favorite had to die along the way

Hell's Paradise was good. I'm fine with smut, it depends on how the story was told.

I recently reread Tokyo Ghoul, it is really a very good manga that is completely worth it, obviously it is already finished and it only has 179 chapters that can be finished quite quickly, I have made some posts talking about Tokyo Ghoul, but not focused on the history, but to how disappointed I am about its anime adaptation

I haven't read Tokyo Ghoul but from animation alone, there were some inconsistencies not to ignore which fans of the manga just confirms over twitter. I'm not really into the story even when watching 2 seasons of it.

Yes this is the manga I want to talk about

Revenge of the iron blooded sword hound
Is a very interesting manhwa to read. It’s a story of a man who got beheaded after giving all his life to work for his family, at the end of everything, he was lied against which made his father gave him the death sentence. Before he died, he made a wish to be born again which happened surprisingly. After his dead, he opened his eyes to when he was just a child and this time he swore revenge on his father.

Funny enough, there are so many twist in the story which will leave you thinking if revenge was the best way. The manhwa is peak just like the northern blade and a touch of TBATE
You would love it

I haven’t finished this yet. Its premise: what if fairy tales were real and Umbrella Corporation (from Resident Evil) exploited, weaponized and made a Kill Bill x Fruits Basket death game out of their concepts. It’s trashy, mostly mindless and has some crust (some action scenes confused me with how they were laid out and portrayed movement), but it’s been a fun ride so far.

It’s called Alice in Murderland

Love this idea! I'm always on the hunt for new manga to devour, so having a dedicated thread for recommendations is fantastic🤸🏾‍♀️✨️

Wanna ask. Can we talk about manhwa and make a post about it. There is a manga/manhwa I am reading write now and I would like to share it with you all. I mostly do anime review and recommendation. I dont know if I can talk about it.
The title is Revenge of the baskerville bloodhound

If you want to include it here use tag #mangamonday3 but if it's an entirely separate post, you're welcome to do manhwa and manhua reviews too.

Ok, thanks for the update
