AI is finally here
and you can create using your creative mind, humor, intelligence, anything other than your hands.
But? Is it art?
I've been asking myself the same question over and over again. AI art is a rip off of existing data used to create images or recreate the original ones. You can use the style of Van Gogh, Rembrand, Da Vinci, Matisse to create the image in your mind in SECONDS.
Picasso's motto was Steal like an artist and I was never too fond of him saying that, but let's face it; Digital Creation is the future and the only originality in digital art is...

So is it art? If Dada and other artists of his era thought that taking an object out of its context and placing it in a gallery is in fact ART, then YES

Today I'm going to share with you one of the Images I created using DALLE
It is an Alien Couple in Swimming Suits posing as American Gothic by Grant Wood.
I loved it, I made a whole series out of them.
I still think that use of AI in art creation represents a new form of creativity and that the output can be considered art, especially if the AI system was programmed to exhibit creativity and produce works that are unique and expressive.
Sure, the answer of whether or not AI-generated works can be considered art is depend on personal opinion. (:

I tend to agree with you, there's always some subjectivity on whether AI generated works can be considered art but I think you introduced a very important parameter here; if the AI system is programmed to produced unique artworks. I guess if there was a way that no one else could type in the same creative idea with another person then it should and would be considered an absolut original and thus creative art. Haven't thought of that before, thanks!!
