Hello friends of HIVE,
While I was trying to sort through my PC files, I found a folder containing photos from a trip I made a few years ago.
I immediately thought that I could include it in my blog, to show you the wonder that this city reserves.
I immediately warn you that I will have to do at least two posts, because of the things to say about this city.
I’m talking about a city located in northern Italy, which was born at the time of Augustus as a Roman colony named Iulia Augusta Taurinorum. In modern times it became first the House of Savoy and then in 1861 the capital of the Kingdom of Italy.
You know what city I’m talking about?

mentre stavo cercando di fare ordine tra i file del mio PC, ho trovato una cartella contenente le foto di un viaggio fatto un po’ di anni fa.
Ho subito pensato che avrei potuto inserirlo nel mio blog, per far vedere anche a voi la meraviglia che questa città riserva.
Vi avviso subito che dovrò fare almeno due post, perchè le cose da dire di questa città sono molte.
Sto parlando di una città che si trova nel nord Italia, che è nata all’epoca di Augusto come colonia romana dal nome Iulia Augusta Taurinorum. In epoca moderna divenne prima casa dei Savoia e poi nel 1861 capitale del regno d’Italia.
Sapete di quale città sto parlando?

Of course the city of Turin! As mentioned above, this city has a very ancient history, which starts in Roman times to get to the present day.
It was also for many years home of FIAT and Lancia, which were born right here. For this reason Turin was also one of the most important industrial powers in Italy.
But let’s talk a bit about the city, what you immediately notice about Turin is its majesty from the point of view of buildings, churches and palaces, perhaps because it was the home of the Kings of Italy.
Ovviamente della città di Torino! Come detto precedentemente, questa città ha una storia molto antica, che parte in epoca romana per arrivare fino ai giorni nostri.
E’ stata anche per moltissimi anni casa della FIAT e della Lancia, che furono nate proprio qui. Per questo motivo Torino è stata anche una delle potenze industriali più importanti d’Italia.
Ma parliamo un po’ della città, quello che subito si nota di Torino è la sua maestosità dal punto di vista degli edifici, delle chiese e dei palazzi, forse perché è stata la casa dei Re d’Italia.

Alla fine degli anni 90 del 900, venne utilizzata come sede del Museo del Cinema, e ancora oggi la sua funzione principale è quella.
Turin is famous for its squares, one of them is Piazza San Carlo.
It is a rectangular square, in the center there is a horse statue of Emanuele Filiberto and at the bottom of the square two twin churches.
Others are the famous squares of Turin, they are all very large and rich in majestic monuments. When you are inside it seems to be tiny dots compared to that immensity.
Torino è famosissima per le sue piazze, una di queste è Piazza San Carlo.
E’ una piazza rettangolare, al centro si trova una statua a cavallo di Emanuele Filiberto e sul fondo della piazza due chiese gemelle.
Altre sono le piazze famose di Torino, sono tutte molto grandi e ricche di monumenti maestosi. Quando ci si trova all’interno sembra di essere dei minuscoli puntini rispetto a quella immensità.
Another place to visit is the Egyptian Museum, unfortunately I don’t have many photos of this.
It’s the most important Egyptian museum after Cairo, so it’s a must-see.
The museum contains many statues, funeral kits, sarcophagi, papyri, and thanks to these finds you can get closer and closer to the history of ancient Egypt and its majesty.
This civilization is one of the oldest, and it is a privilege to be able to see these wonderful works in my country.
The advice I give you about the museum is to always book the ticket for the visit, because it is always full of people.

Altro posto da visitare è il Museo Egizio, purtroppo di questo non ho moltissime foto.
E’ il più importante museo egizio dopo quello de Il Cairo, perciò è assolutamente da visitare.
Il museo contiene tantissime statue, corredi funerari, sarcofagi, papiri, e grazie a questi reperti è possibile avvicinarsi sempre di più alla storia dell’antico Egitto e alla sua maestosità.
Questa civiltà è una delle più antiche, ed è un privilegio poter vedere queste meravigliose opere nel mio Paese.
Il consiglio che vi do riguardo al museo è di prenotare sempre il biglietto per la visita, perché è sempre pieno di gente.
