Hello dear friends of this enchanting community, It's a pleasure for me to continue the narrative of my unforgettable walk in Marostica, about 13 kilometers of which I spoke to you yesterday. This constitutes the second chapter of my journey and, naturally, of my story, especially since there are so many photos to share. Reaching a certain hillside, I found myself facing a notably different trail. There was no longer the pleasant easy shortcut, but a rocky path, as you can see from the photos. However, with determination, I continued my walk, eager to reach my goal and then return. After this stretch, I came across a dirt road that bordered a fenced area inhabited by magnificent horses; it was probably a local breeding, and I must say that horses are truly beautiful animals. From that elevated position, there was a spectacular view. In the distance, I admired the upper castle of Marostica and other surrounding natural landscapes, although I admit I am not very familiar with these places, as I have not frequented this area often for my walks. Still, thanks to Google Maps, one can get a bit of an understanding of the locations in this area and learn something new. I also noticed a small herd of cows, presumably destined for meat production. I never would have thought to find something like this in these areas. Usually, I have seen these farms always in high mountain areas. Later, I descended along another road. I admit I got a bit distracted and didn't take many photos because the path resembled the one on the way there, and I found it somewhat unnecessary to take more pictures. Continuing, I skirted the imposing walls of Marostica, which were in perfect condition. Then I crossed the cobblestone streets inside the city, which turned out to be charming. Finding myself in the heart of the town, I decided to walk along the inner road, rich in interesting details about the city of Marostica. Basically, this road takes you from the main square of the city to the upper castle located in a more hilly area. This city brought back memories of my hometown, a medieval village like Marostica. Descending again, I arrived at the place famous for its human chessboard and the main square of the town, which I must admit is truly charming. Undoubtedly, Marostica is a city that I highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Italy; it has recently become quite famous because important concerts are held here in this square.
