Hello friends of this beautiful community.

Today, I would like to talk to you, in my opinion, about a beautiful lake that's worth exploring. It's probably not very well-known as a tourist destination, but it's the Lake of Santa Giustina, located in Trentino, an artificial lake. In fact, it was practically created after the construction of the dam that collects the waters of the Noce River. This was around the beginning of the 1950s.

The lake, more or less, covers an area of six square kilometers and has a depth of over 150 meters. The temperature of its water can vary significantly, and this depends on the season, naturally. When I visited during the height of summer, it can even reach 20 degrees. Nevertheless, it remains consistently cool, and the water is not like Lake Garda, in the southern part, where the water temperature can almost reach 30 degrees. We're always talking about an alpine lake, so it's consistently fed by this stream that carries very fresh water.

They say that the water is of this color as you can see in this photo because the stream that feeds this lake, its water comes from the melting of several glaciers.

When I visited, I didn't see people swimming. So, I think it's not suitable for swimming. However, I did see various people engaging in water sports like kayaking and canoeing. They told me that sometimes they even do surfing and windsurfing, which I believe depends on the wind conditions.

In this photo, you can see where you can rent the boat and where all water sports activities begin.

Instead, from my point of view, the most beautiful thing that I've always done when I visited this place is something I can recommend to you: you can take a beautiful walk that goes around this lake. There are many trails in the area; it's not the only one. Each has different levels of difficulty, so you need to consider your own physical fitness.

Naturally, if you're in that area, you can't miss a beautiful sanctuary to visit, which is the Sanctuary of San Romedio, but also Castel Cles and the Rhaetian Museum. Then, as you can see from the pictures, I can say that the most beautiful thing there is indeed the landscape that surrounds this lake. Definitely an interesting place to spend several hours in the midst of nature, not just for perhaps taking a nice trekking route, but also simply for lying down near its shore and relaxing.

As you can see from this photo, the path along the lake's shore is in excellent condition.

I thank you for dedicating time to reading this post. I hope the photos have been very interesting and enjoyable for you, and as usual, I hope I've helped you discover a new place in my country.
