Seaford Beach UK • Reunited with the Ocean

Back in the Philippines, there are a lot of beautiful beaches. It is one of the things that I miss the most back home. Since we went on camping, I searched the area and learned that the beach is just around 30 minutes away. So we headed out to see and experience the gorgeous Seaford Beach in South East England East Sussex UK. Come and join us today as we share with you our experience in this beautiful place.

There are a lot of beautiful places in England that you could go to for free. Aside from the transportation but if you have a car it is a great way to discover and explore the area. We headed out from our camp from Wowo campsite and getting here will take you roughly around 30 minutes by car.

3.jpg

We missed seeing the ocean and we were very excited to see the beach from this part of the world. The Philippines is a tropical country and we are used to seeing fine white sand and coconut trees on beaches. I didn't know what to expect but the scent of the ocean if familiar.

4.jpg

When we finally got here the sea was calling me and my excitement cannot be contained. I headed down the beach and found out that instead of sand this beach had pebbles. The water was too cold for a swim during this time.

5.jpg

6.jpg

The beach was very organized and very clean. On the information board, it says that the water quality is excellent for swimming. It is a shame that the water is too cold for a swim but I was told that the temperature is much better in August. Maybe we could revisit once the water is less colder.

7.jpg

There are a lot of beach huts here and a great place to stay if you are spending some time on the beach. But it seems that only residents of Seaford are allowed to rent the huts because of their popularity. Maybe you could set up a tent on the beach if it is allowed.

We explored the western part of the beach first and here you could see that some people set up tents on the beach. This answers our question if tents are allowed. The sun was up and you could feel the warmth on your face but the weather was still cold.

12.jpg

A lot of people come here to go fishing, which is something that I also enjoy very much. Next time we will come here prepared with tents and fishing poles.

13.jpg

14.jpg

We stumbled upon the Seaford Museum of Local History. We didn't go in as there was a fee and a group visit requires an appointment. I would have enjoyed it as I love going to museums. Instead, I just admired the beautiful Royal Enfield motorcycle parked outside.

16.jpg

We noticed a long line from this ice cream shack and must be very popular in the area. I was too hard to resist the call of the ice cream man and we had to get some.

I ordered the Belgian chocolate which costs £5 per scoop which is expensive but as expected as it is handcrafted using local milk. It was very good and was worth it.

21.jpg

A lot of people here but not is crowded and there are a lot of spots where you can set up a picnic table. Here the time seems to move slower than in London, also more peaceful and very quiet. Just the sound of the waves and the seagulls flying over.

22.jpg

We were planning to climb up the hill and see the cliffs as it is a popular site here. Before we head out we took it slow and just enjoyed the beach for a little longer. It was very relaxing and calm hearing the sound of the waves again which gave me some comfort from missing the beaches back home.

We started our ascent from Splash Point and from here you could see the stunning cliffs of Seaford Head. You could also do a very long trek and see the Seven Sisters Cliff. The whole trek will lead you to the other town which could take around 4-5 hours as I was told. We are not ready for that so only planned to see the mid part of the hill.

The view going up is fantastic and we were a bit winded climbing up as it has been a while since we last did some hiking.

31.jpg

This platform is popular with tourists and expect that hikers will be stopping by for a photo. I enjoyed taking photos while we were up here as the view of the ocean, the bay and the cliffs were majestic.

I had to do a little photoshoot with my wife and while doing so making sure that you don't spend too much time as a lot of people would also like to take a photo. There are a lot of tourists here and you could stumble upon some who have no manners. You could encounter people who would simply walk in front of you while you are taking your shot. Maybe they were too excited and disregarded the other people around them. The best solution is to just try to stay away from the crowd if you can and find a good spot.

The hills were like made from chalk and could crumble anytime. It looks dangerously beautiful as there are no fences on the edge of the cliff. No one would be crazy enough to go on the edge and look down.

After a few more photos we have spent enough time and decided to go back down. We have enjoyed it's beauty although we have not seen everything in Seaford head. We have not gone over the hill to see Seven Sisters Cliff maybe in the future ahead.

As we headed back we were astounded at how beautiful Seaford Bay looks like from up here. Sometimes we get distracted by what is in front of us not noticing the beauty behind us.

How would you like to live near Seaford Beach? I was told that properties near bodies of water are always very expensive. It would be great though to hear the sounds of the waves and the scent of the ocean breeze all the time.

Thanks for joining us today and I hope you enjoyed our tour at Seaford Beach. Hope you can join us again as we share more of our adventures here in the UK thru the eyes of a foreigner from the Philippines.

Cheers!

I love to visit the beach as well, unfortunately the closest beach to where I stay is 600km away.

That chocolate ice cream looks delicious!!

That is too bad. But you should still see the ocean if you could find time to get your dose of vitamin sea 😄. Ice cream was great I love chocolate

Haha this post made me Google, this place looks like the place where Pewdiepie shot his ''Congratulations'' video after losing the battle with T-series 🤣 It's apparently close to that area. Such a nice place!

Now you made me google and watch the congratulations video 😄. Yea seems close to that area.

That is so true, we get so busy in life we forget the beauty right beside us! This is a quite interesting area, with the cliffs right beside the ocean! Thanks for taking us along on the seaside romp with small batch ice cream treats! 🍦

We will do some more research if ever we will revisit. Making sure we won't get into any trouble 😄. Let's always not forget to not get too busy all the time and pause to admire the beauty around us.
