Hope you are doing great and having a nice weekend! Here I am for another travel post on my blog and this time I am bringing you to the center of Mauritius, on the high grounds!!!
Nestled in the beautiful City of Curepipe, Trou au Cerfs is a captivating volcanic crater that took me by surprise for its natural beauty!!!
Last Thursday as I was in Curepipe and had to wait for my daughter to finish her tuition, I had an hour to spend and decided to have a quick tour of Trou au Cerfs, which is located just 2 minutes away from the city center!
It was after a very long time that I went to this place...and so happy to share the adventure with you!
Exploring this scenic spot was instantly mesmerizing for me...The volcano's rim offers panoramic views of Curepipe and its lush surroundings! The nature around is wonderful to see...
The crater is like a giant bowl, filled with vibrant green trees and plants of all sorts and at its center you can notice a lake!
The landscape is stunning and the volcano's unique shape is simply a feast for the eyes! The place to be for nature lovers...
Jogging and Walking Track around the crater...
You get to jog or walk all around the crater in all safety. No vehicles are allowed at this area, so you can bring along your kids.
The cool breeze and scenic path make it an ideal spot for both nature and fitness lovers!
Whether you're a nature enthusiast or a fitness lover, Trou aux Cerfs has something for everyone.
As I walked along the track, I got a little closer to the crater to take maximum photos! On top of the lush vegetation, I also saw a lot of different colorful flowers giving out a wonderful scent!
Haven for both relaxation and outdoor activity!
Now that I've been again there after such a long time, I will surely visit Trou au Cerfs very often...and you will discover it on my future posts!!!
Trou aux Cerfs is for sure a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful escape and a glimpse into the island's volcanic history.
The blend of natural beauty, the unique volcano, and the refreshing track make it an enchanting experience for all.
