Last week, a friend Mamut called me to say that there is going to be an car hillclimb race in Náměšt nad Oslavou at the weekend. I had never been to this area of the republic. So I thought, I might as well explore this part. And so I set off in the direction of Brno and then Modřice. From where I found my way past two rivers directly to Náměšť.
V minulém týdnu mi zavolal kamarád Mamut, že se o víkendu jede v Náměšti nad Oslavou Mistrovství republiky v automobilových závodech do vrchu. Nikdy jsem v této oblasti republiky nebyl a tak jsem si řekl, že bych mohl tuto část prozkoumat. A tak jsem vyrazil směr Brno a následně Modřice. Odkud jsem si našel cestu kolem dvou říček přímo do Náměště.
I left Modřice in the direction of Želešice, where I saw a strange building. Only here did I take a good look at the map to see what is actually interesting in the area. I found a freeway bridge built during World War II, but this freeway was never completed, leaving mostly only bridges in the wild.
Z Modřic jsem vyšel směrem Želešice, kde jsem uviděl divné stavení. Teprve zde jsem se pořádně podíval do mapy co je zde vlastně zajímavého v okolí. Našel jsem most dálnice stavěné za druhé světové války, ale tato dálnice nikdy nebyla dokončena a tak po ní zbyly povětšinou jen mosty v přírodě.
After Želešice, I joined the river Bobrava, from where I continued upstream to the Nature Park bearing the same name as the river. The beginning of my journey was marked by the bark beetle calamity. But as I got closer to the center of the park. Nature suddenly became more alive.
Za Želešicemi jsem se připojil k říčce Bobravě, odkud jsem pokračoval proti proudu do Přírodního parku nesoucí stejný název jako říčka. Začátek mojí cesty byl poznamenán kůrovcovou kalamitou. Ale jakmile jsem se blížil více do středu parku. Příroda najednou začala být živější.
There are also several old stone bridges on the river. A beaver probably lives here, and for the fact that it's spring, there were plenty of mosquitoes. I can't imagine it here in the summer. Quite possibly there will be large swarms of biting insects flying around here. At the village of Radostice I left the river and started to climb more into the hills towards Vlčí kopec (384m).
Na říčce je i několik starých kamenných mostů. Pravděpodobně zde žije i bobr a na to, že je jaro bylo zde i dost komárů. Nedovedu si to zde představit v létě. Dost možná zde budou lítat velké roje kousavého hmyzu. U vesnice Radostice jsem říčku opustil a začal stoupat více do kopců směrem na Vlčí kopec (384m).
The hilly part of the Bobrava park is overgrown with young oaks, so you walk along narrow paths. So as soon as he climbs to the edge of the park, he is glad that the landscape opens up for a moment. So that after a while he disappeared into the forest. This time, but in a mature forest where there are many plants in the undergrowth that can be photographed.
Kopcovitá část parku Bobrava, je porostlá mladými duby a tak člověk chodí úzkými cestičkami. Tak jakmile vleze na okraj parku je rád za to, že se krajina na chvilku otevře. Aby po chvíli zase zmizel v lese. Tentokráte, ale už vzrostlém lese kde je spousta rostlin v podrostu, které se dají fotit.
By the time I emerged from the forest, it was already late afternoon and I had a fairly decent amount of kilometers in my feet. It was time to start looking for a place to sleep. First, however, I had to pass through a small town called Ivančice. So that I would lie down at the interface of the devastated forest and the field on the other side.
Když jsem se vynořil z lesa, bylo už pozdní odpoledne a já měl v nohách poměrně slušnou dávku kilometrů. Bylo na čase začít hledat místo na spaní. Nejdříve jsem, ale musel projít městečkem jménem Ivančice. Abych si pak lehnul na rozhraní zdevastovaného lesa a pole na straně druhé.

To vypadá jako fajn túra :) Zajímá tě i feedback k angličtině, konkrétně k nadpisu? Pochopil jsem, že jsou na to tady občas lidé hákliví.
Postupně zjišťuji, že řeky na Moravě a Vysočině jsou dost divoký oproti tomu co máme v Čechách. Další článek toto tvrzení jen potvrdí. Oslava je skrytý poklad o kterým málo kdo ví. Samozřejmě každej feedback se hodí.
U množného čísla je neurčitý člen zamlčený. A jména řek se naopak píší s členem určitým. Třeba the Vltava.

The road bridge was built during the Second World War… it sounds like a long time ago, but the building still looks very sturdy
The construction of the highway started 85 years ago and the construction sites were abandoned in 1945. So it can be assumed that they expected the durability of the construction to be 100 years.
