Jingshan Park: Heaven of Flowers

in Pinmapple15 days ago

Beijing comes alive with colour in the spring after a long winter of harshness and darkness of nature. The best way to explore the natural beauty of Beijing is at the start of May than other months of summer. And for a nature lover, there is no place other than to spend time in Jingshan Park, which is a flower garden with a lot of historical building and sculpture of the chinese culture. This last week, during the energizing May Day holidays, I went on a lovely visit through the park, where the wonderful smells and stunning beauty of many flowers filled my senses.

The park is just next to the world-famous tourist spot, Forbidden Kingdom, and it is a royal flower garden and in my opinion this park is comparable with the beauty of the summer palace in term of flower collection, though the area is not so vast here like summer place, but it has no great lake like the summer palace has. If you love nature, then this place is the easiest spot in the heart of modern Beijing city.

Jingshan Park has a long history as a royal park and is a unique place to experience both cultural importance and natural beauty. A pattern of hundred colours with pink and reds was the first colour I saw when I walked into the park. China's state flower, the peony, was king or queen but everywhere hyndreds of them can be found. Their brightly coloured, big, rich flowers had layers of delicate petals that caught the eye. The "King of Flowers," as people lovingly call it, lived up to its name, giving off an air of royalty amidst the lush grass.

The freshness and the vibrant looks will definitely catch your eyes while walking through the gardens.
There is no end of colors for these Chinese peonies, and I hear that there are several hundreds of peony species in the Jingshan park

As I walked further, I came across a safe haven of colours. The sight of these flower trees are so attractive to spend the time there. I found a rainbow of other flowers hidden away in dark places, each adding its own special charm to the scene. It was nice to see these flowing branches of the blossoms everywhere. The park is also very large and the varities of flowers will never let you feel you bored with their hundreds of colors in every corner of the park.

The structure of the park made the flower experience even better. Winding roads lined with flowering trees led to views that were out of the ordinary. While I was climbing Jingshan, the centre hill, I was able to see the whole park and fully enjoy the stunning range of colours. I will write a seperate blog on the other attraction but today I want to take you to the deep ocean of the flower collection in the Jingshan park.

The large gardens of flowers will take a long period of time while exploring the beauty of colorful petals of these beautiful flowers, especially during this season, the surrounding becomes stunning.

Exploring the flowers in Jingshan Park wasn't just a treat for the eyes; it was a full-body experience that made me feel very close to nature. I could hear the soft buzzing of bees gathering pollen, the dancing of butterflies drawn to the bright colors, and the singing of birds sitting on trees full of flowers while I walked. A lot of people were in the park, and they were all amazed by the flowers.

Even I don't know the names of most of the flowers but I was amazed with their beauty. In part of the park you will have different view of flowers with different species. Some species that I have noticed in the notes are like the Silvery Rose known as the everlasting fllower, some colorful lupines which are so attractive to have a close look, some smaller flowers like larkspurs, begonia except the hundreds species of peonies.

It warmed my heart to see people getting back in touch with nature and finding joy and motivation in beauty of flowers. It made my experience more meaningful to see so many happy people in the park enjoying the holiday. It seemed like the bright flowers represented both the beauty of nature and the spirit of the people who were exploring them.

The majority of Jingshan Park is covered with ancient trees and several other extinct plant species. The blooms have drawn a lot of visitors and photographers over the years. Peony cultivation has a long history in Jingshan Park. Springtime brings a sea of vibrant blooms to Jingshan Park, particularly in April and May when peonies are in full bloom.

There is a rose garden in Jingshan Park where people can enjoy a wide range of beautiful types but currently they are not bloomed.  Also there is a lotus area which is also under construction. There are more than just plants in Jingshan Park. There are also so many kind of wildflowers which are completely unknown to me.

I am going to comeback again here for the rose garden and the lotus in coming days. The most important fact is that it is located in the center of the Beijing city and transportation is so flexible. Also, the ticket price for this beautiful place is only 2 RMB which is the cheapest that can I ever imagine in China!

I felt refreshed as I left Jingshan Park, bringing the scent of peonies and all the other flowers that were still in bloom. Aside from being beautiful to look at, the park was a welcome break from the busy professional life. It reminded me of the simple beauty all around me, they are just waiting to be found.

I hope you like my tour to such an amazing place and all the beautiful flowers have make your day. I hope to catch you at my next blog.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.

Have a great day.

Dear @tanzil2024 !
Hassan!
I didn't know that Jingshan Park's flowers were famous!😦 The Chinese call peonies the queen of flowers.
Peonies are very colorful and beautiful!😃
However, I remember that the Indian subcontinent does not have a variety of flowers like East Asia because it has a tropical climate.

We have had many varieties throughout the years and you can find a flower garden in every house in the village area and on the balcony of the city apartments. But there is another irony for the South Asian countries like Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan that they are not so careful about these as the economy is not good for the people and without a good economy you can't afford good care of the existing parks like in vast in China in my observation but we have very limited land for this beauty except the only commercial flower cultivation in some areas with a very limited collection of the trending species for commercial uses.

I understand!
