Two Weeks in Japan for Snow
Hi everyone...
My dream country was Switzerland. In my childhood, I ever dreamt visited beautiful Switzerland but in my grow up, I thought that dream was not real due to Switzerland is an expensive country. Then two years ago, I and my friend ever tried to applying a Schangen Visa but we are failed to applied due to fear to rejected. So we do travel in other country while keep Switzerland in my bucket list.
Then I go to one of beautiful country In Asia cause I want to playing snow. All we know is that Japan is a beautiful country, especially in Winter. Many people from any country will visit Japan in winter because Japan is that beautiful in winter.
Last year, precisely on December 29th, 2023, I had the opportunity to visit Japan. The biggest reason I visited Japan was because the previous year, when I was on holiday in Turkey, I felt unsatisfied playing in the snow because I had to work from everywhere, so I didn't enjoy it. That's why I want to repeat it in Japan.
Landing in Osaka as First City Destination
Instead of landing in Tokyo, I chose landing in Osaka due to ticket price. I don't know if Osaka is far from Tokyo or my brother's homestay. For your information, my brother works in Japan, so I asked him to accompany me.
Starting the first day of 2024 in Japan is something I never imagined would happen in my life. Even though many people want to visit, Japan was never on my priority list of 'Countries I Want to Visit'. But in the end, I visited him because my sister lives in Japan. I wanted to explore Japan alone so I had enough flexible time to keep working—of course with a guide I knew, so I chose Japan as the second country to visit. If asked for another reason, of course, it's because you want to play in the snow. Solved my dissatisfaction with playing in the snow when I was in Erciyes last year.
Osaka Airport is Kansai Airports. I landed at the day almost dusk. The interesting fact about Osaka Airports is integrated train station.
Watching the view from the window made me still can not believe that I am in Osaka, Japan. Osaka along the window view is gorgeous.
The day was dark when I arrived in Osaka around Dontonbori. After dropping my luggage in hostel, I went to the famous Dontonburi. My brother chose that destination because me knew nothing about Osaka and depended on him about Osaka.
- Dontonbori
Dontonburi in the last of the year is crowded. Look my photo, almost there is no space to take a picture. People are everywhere but my brother forced me to do that famous pose.
Due to people, I can not stand more than 30 minutes there so I decided to move out. There no place but the restaurant.
Then my first day in Osaka end up in this restaurant. I spent my long night in my hostel.
- Universal Studio
People said that you have to go to Universal Studio once in your life so I did it! I went to Universal Studio in the second day in Osaka. Due to holiday Universal Studio is crowded also. There are many foreigners there, sometime I recognized the same nationality tourist.
The Universal Studios is so big, you won't have much time to go around it. There are so many rides in it.
- Osaka Castle
Osaka Castle is beautiful place that I ever visited in Osaka. It is still look nature whereas how many tourist there. The management of Osaka Castle keep their historical touch there and did not affected by other trend.
My journey in Osaka end up here due to next day I want to go to Shirakawa Go to playing Snow! Actually still many place that I have to visit in Osaka, but my day is limit there and I chose to go to Shirakawa Go due my brother's friend want to go there also.
- Takayama - Kataharamachi
Before land in Shirakawa Go, our driver dropped us in Takayama Bridge. Close to Takayama bridge, there are souvenir markets and restaurants. For you guys who want to buying something, Takayama markets sell kinda Jewellery, you will love it cause the price is affordable. Then I walked around while enjoying hot coffee because it was very cold there.
- Shirakawa Go
Finally, I get to my main destination in Japan, snow. Shirakawa Go is a beautiful village. I enjoyed my day there even though the weather was frozen. This place is one of the tourist destinations during winter. The view, the snow, and the vibe, all of that are great!
I still can not describe how thrilled I am there. Finally, I was satisfied playing in the snow. I get much pictures there and recorded much videos, that day is my great day.
- Promenade Park
After Shirakawa Go, in the next day, I went to Tokyo and visited Promenade Park. That is the large Park where you can find anything including the Liberty Statue, the duplicate. I spent my time there around 1 hour, been there is so cozy. If I live there, I will spending my all day long there for doing nothing but daydream. Hahaha...
- Tokyo Tower
My journey in Tokyo end up in Tokyo Tower. That is the big tower, but you can get great picture when you close the tower, because the tower was buckler some buildings. You should to walk far to have best pictures of the tower. But I still recommend to you to enjoy your day in Tokyo Tower.
My journey in Japan does not stop in Tokyo Tower. I still have some destinations to share, but this post will stop here. I will be back in other posts about Japan. However, Japan is a great country to visit. Please visit Japan once in your life. Winter or Spring, that is the good seasons to visit Japan cause Japan will make your day more beautiful than you will ever think. But I recommend to you to have good power when you visiting Japan, because in Japan you will have thousand steps!
