The long road to success / El largo camino hacia el exito
Reaching stardom, achieving a goal, becoming a world champion or anything else, requires great effort, hard work, devotion and much more, even luck is necessary on the road to success. This is one of the most outstanding aspects of Bon Jovi's history, one of the most outstanding Rock bands at the end of the 80's and during the 90's.
I remember back then buying their CD's, they were truly my favorite band, and I enjoyed many of their songs. So when I found out about their series I didn't hesitate for a second to watch it, and although I haven't finished it yet, what I've seen has left me hooked...as expected.
Initially the production focuses on Jon Bon Jovi, who tells us first hand about his beginnings, the challenges he had to face and the rejections he also had to accept, definitely shows us that success is not something overnight but a mixture of many factors and moments.
Alcanzar el estrellato, lograr una meta, ser campeón del mundo o cualquier otra cosa, requiere de un gran esfuerzo, trabajo duro, devoción y mucho más, incluso la suerte es necesaria en el camino del éxito. Esto es uno de los aspectos más resaltantes de la historia de Bon Jovi, uno de los grupos de Rock más resaltantes al finalizar la década de los 80 y durante los 90.
Recuerdo en aquellos tiempos comprar sus CD, de verdad que fue mi grupo favorito, y disfrute de muchas de sus canciones. Por lo que al enterarme de su serie no dude ni un segundo en verla, y aunque no la termino todavía, lo que he visto me ha dejado enganchado…como era de esperarse.
Inicialmente la producción se centra en la actualidad de Jon Bon Jovi, quien de primera mano nos cuenta cómo fueron sus inicios, los desafíos que tuvo que enfrentar y los rechazos que también le toco aceptar, definitivamente nos muestra que el éxito no es algo de la noche a la mañana sino una mezcla de muchos factores y momentos.

As always, in the lives of successful or triumphant people, parental influence is extremely important, and not only that but also the understanding and wisdom to guide a son on his way. For example, Jon Bon Jovi's family was not musical, but it was very united and fortunately for him they had a good roof over their heads and a favorable economic position.
These aspects made his parents allow a more comfortable life for their son in terms of taking a profession other than a musical career, because at his 20 years Bon Jovi was not anyone in the entertainment world, only an opening act (opening band) of other concerts, but at the academic level he was not studying a specific profession. This is similar to what we see today with young prospects who take a risk in a sport in order to reach a millionaire signature that will solve their life, in itself, is a risky bet because everything can go wrong and would only be lost years of life.
However, for Bon Jovi this was not so, and fortunately for him and for those who accompanied him in his band, success knocked on their doors and they passed through it. But there is one thing that must be emphasized and this is common in those who have achieved fame, and that is, that they do not seek it, but love and enjoy what they do.
Como siempre, en la vida de las personas exitosas o triunfantes, la influencia paterna es sumamente importante, y no solo eso sino también la comprensión y sabiduría de guiar a un hijo en su camino. Por ejemplo la familia de Jon Bon Jovi no era musical, pero sí muy unida y afortunadamente para el gozaban de un buen techo y una posición económica favorable.
Estos aspectos hicieron que sus padres permitiesen una vida más holgada de su hijo en cuanto a tomar una profesión diferente a la carrera musical, porque a sus 20 años Bon Jovi no era nadie en el mundo del espectáculo, solo un telonero (grupo de apertura) de otros conciertos, pero a nivel académico tampoco estudiaba una profesión en específico. Esto es similar a lo que vemos hoy en día con los jóvenes prospectos que se arriesgan en un deporte con tal de alcanzar una firma millonaria que les resuelva la vida, en sí, es una apuesta arriesgada porque todo puede salir mal y serian solo años perdidos de vida.
Sin embargo, para Bon Jovi esto no fue así, y afortunadamente para él y para quienes le acompañaban en su banda el éxito toco a sus puertas y pasaron por medio de ella. Pero hay que resaltar una cosa y esto es común en quienes han alcanzado la fama, y es, que no la buscan, sino que aman y disfrutan lo que hacen.

The flashbacks shown in this series allow us to see the naivety of some young singers who just enjoyed their moment and that way with the right people they achieved success. Already with more than 40 years of career there are those who still listen to their music, even my little girl of 9 years old likes some of them.
The other part of the story in this series shows the challenges of Bon Jovi to commemorate 40 years, and with more than sixty years to give a tour is not easy, and less being affected by the Covid at the time. This is pointed out by the singer in his production, but he also touches on reflective themes for him as a person, whether to continue, retire, feel good, etc.
It is interesting to see how a person reaches a point in life where what has defined him for a long time becomes a complete paradox, and it is something normal, although at the moment it is not glimpsed. It also happens to sports legends and other world-renowned icons, who doubt being what they were meant to be.
Definitely these are aspects that make us see that fame is not everything in this world, there are much more important things, and it is nice to see it first hand, from the lives of those who have managed to be famous. Finally and to conclude, if you liked Bon Jovi at the time, do not miss this series, it is spectacular, and if you do not like it, you can still see it, because the production has a lot of quality, so you will enjoy it.
Los flashback que se muestra en esta serie nos permiten ver la ingenuidad de unos cantantes jóvenes que solo disfrutaban su momento y de esa forma con las personas adecuadas consiguieron el éxito. Ya con más de 40 años de carrera hay quienes siguen escuchando su música, incluso a mi pequeña de 9 años le gustan algunas de ellas.
La otra parte de la historia en esta serie muestra los desafíos de Bon Jovi para conmemorar los 40 años, ya con más de sesenta años dar una gira no es sencillo, y menos siendo afectado por el Covid en su momento. Esto lo señala el cantante en su producción, pero también toca temas reflexivos para el como persona, si seguir, retirarse, sentirse bien, etc.
Es interesante ver como una persona llega a un punto de la vida donde lo que lo ha definido por mucho tiempo se vuelve una completa paradoja, y es algo normal, aunque de momento no se vislumbra. Le pasa también a leyendas del deporte y a otros iconos de renombre mundial, que dudan de ser lo que se habían destinado a ser.
Definitivamente estos son aspectos que nos hacen ver que la fama no lo es todo en este mundo, hay cosas mucho más importantes, y es agradable verlo de primera mano, de la vida de aquellos que han logrado ser famosos. Por último y para concluir, si te gusto Bon Jovi en su momento, no te pierdas esta serie, es espectacular, y si no te gusta, aun la puedes ver, porque la producción tiene mucha calidad, así que la vas a disfrutar.
