¡Hola amigos! Hoy me pasó por acá para traerles la reseña de una nueva película estrenada hace poco en la plataforma de Netflix que es una comedia romántica, pero más enfocada al público maduro, ya que en este caso la protagonista cuyo título le da nombre a la película es La madre de la novia.

Emma vuelve de su estadía en Londres para anunciarle a su madre, Lana, que se casará el próximo mes, un hecho que la impacta porque ni siquiera sabía que estaba de novia. No es solo eso, sino que siempre soñaron con planear su boda juntas, pero ahora Lana se encuentra con que su hija es una influencer que recibe canjes por mostrar en Instagram fotografías de los lugares que visita, así que ya tiene el lugar donde se va a realizar la boda y todo lo que implica pagado por las marcas. Para colmo, tras llegar al hotel y conocer al novio, se entera de que es el hijo de su gran amor de la Universidad con el que soñaba casarse pero un día la abandonó sin ningún tipo de explicación y le rompió el corazón en el proceso. Ahora Lana teme que a su hija le pase lo mismo y encima tiene que lidiar con aquel sentimiento que nunca pudo olvidar.

Esta película llamó mi atención porque es común ver de protagonista de una boda a la novia o al novio, pero no a la madre, así que me dio mucha curiosidad y comencé a verla para saber con qué me iba a encontrar. Al principio no me convencía tanto, pero a medida que iba avanzando la trama me sorprendí estando atenta a la pantalla. Así que diría que tiene un enganche lento, pero funciona.
This movie caught my attention because it is common to see the bride or groom as the main character in a wedding, but not the mother, so I was very curious and started watching it to see what I was going to find. At first I wasn't so convinced, but as the plot progressed I surprised myself by being attentive to the screen. So I would say it has a slow hook, but it works.
Además, tiene como plus que me gusta el amor maduro y las segundas oportunidades, este es el trope ideal que define a esta comedia romántica. Nunca es tarde para que el amor entre a tu vida nuevamente y si es de la mano de uno antiguo mucho mejor. A veces hay cosas que se quedan en el tintero y es bueno darle un cierre o un comienzo, como les pasó a estos personajes.
Besides, it has as a plus that I like mature love and second chances, this is the ideal trope that defines this romantic comedy. It's never too late for love to enter your life again and if it's from the hand of an old one, so much the better. Sometimes there are things that get left behind and it is good to give them a closure or a beginning, as it happened to these characters.

Siendo sincera, hay situaciones y algunos detalles que la hacen un poco absurda, pero creo que esta es la esencia de muchas películas de este género y al final no me importo porque cumplió con su cometido de hacerme reír, tuvo una bonita historia de amor X2 y encima logró conmoverme hacía el final. Excelente servicio.
To be honest, there are situations and some details that make it a little absurd, but I think this is the essence of many films of this genre and in the end I did not mind because it fulfilled its mission of making me laugh, it had a nice love story X2 and on top of that it managed to move me towards the end. Me encantó el enfoque que le dieron a la trama, las locaciones eran bellísimas, ya quisiera yo vacacionar en un lugar así, tan verde y paradisíaco. Me agradaron los personajes y sus actores, sobre todo la tía Janice creo que fue mi favorita. No es nada del otro mundo y no van a encontrar nada que no hayan visto antes, pero es ideal para pasar el rato.
I loved the approach they gave to the plot, the locations were beautiful, I wish I could vacation in a place like that, so green and paradisiacal. I liked the characters and the actors, especially Aunt Janice, I think she was my favorite. It's nothing fancy and you won't find anything you haven't seen before, but it's ideal to pass the time.
La verdad es que fue una agradable película la que vi, la disfruté bastante y les diría que la volvería a ver. Me copo mucho, así que está más que recomendada por mi parte.

Muchachonaaa hola 😃/, Si que llama la atención el aspecto de que la protagonista es la madre, generalmente se les puede es poner de villanas muahahaaja entonces en este caso por el sentimiento que sufrió y el sentimiento de protección a su hijo queda un argumento que se deja ver, ahora yo por lo que la vería es por que la madre también esta preciosa muahajhahajaj 😍
Si, definitivamente momentos absurdos fuera de sí es característico de este genero, por eso se le incluye la comedia porque es que hay cosas que WHAT jaja pero se dejan ver, hacen reír y lo que comentas, entretienen y que vivan las segundas terceras cuartas y quintas oportunidades wiii 😃/
