The second season of Mayor Of Kingstown wants to take the crime drama to another level, if in the first season there were violent things in this season it gets more aggressive in terms of emotions and rawness.
I don't know if the violence that comes to death can be comparable because in the end the suffering is not enjoyed but I think that in the second season the violence is oriented towards a path full of motives.
In these chapters we see that it is more important politics and the search for peace than highlighting violence, however all motives have to go through violence to find goals and results. In other words, it is still there and the characters who seek to suffer constantly land at a paradoxical level of understanding that keeps them in deadly situations.
Such is the case of Iris, the stripper girl who was beaten and abused in the first season, to the point that she had a device inside her body that showed the location to her abductors.
Well, in the second season she returns to look for her kidnapper and the device is inserted again and it seems that she likes to suffer but she could also contrast that she has no other path to take, although obviously it is something that has to do with the Stockholm Syndrome, since the situation that the series wants to illustrate is the difficulty of the detachment of the victim with her kidnapper.
Mike continues to work for tranquility but surrounded by crimes that he cannot control, the prison gets out of control because of a political agreement and his chances of sustaining peace are getting further and further away, which in the first season despite so much violence, peace seemed like a distant possibility.
At the action level it has very good details but I think this season looks more for drama and feelings, although I still have two episodes to finish and I trust it can surprise even more. I say this because the last episode of the first season is extremely explosive and unsurpassable, I have not seen something of that level in a long time, in fact the impact of that episode is felt a lot throughout the second season.
This series from the first minutes is quite unfair in terms of deaths, for that reason any twist can impact very strongly on our feelings.
In fact since its inception this series has relied on the fact that most of the characters trying to endear themselves to the viewer may die or suffer greatly.
So far I have had no complaints with this season, because I think it keeps a very proper pace and you can understand why things take the course they do.
I still recommend it if you like action and prison plots, I in particular don't love the action in the series but I do love the drama in a prison, as it tends to lead you towards emotions and the action scenes have their reasons and without realizing it you end up enjoying them.

La segunda temporada de Mayor Of Kingstown quiere llevar el drama criminal a otro nivel, si en la primera temporada había cosas violentas en esta temporada se pone mas agresiva en cuanto a emociones y crudeza.
No sé si la violencia que llega a la muerte pueda ser comparable porque al final el sufrimiento no se disfruta pero creo que en la segunda temporada la violencia está orientada hacia un camino lleno de motivos.
En estos capítulos vemos que es mas importante la política y la búsqueda de la paz que resaltar la violencia, sin embargo todos los motivos tienen que pasar por la violencia para encontrar objetivos y resultados. Es decir, sigue estando allí y los personajes que buscan sufrir constantemente aterrizan a un nivel paradójico de entendimiento que los mantiene en situaciones mortales.
Tal es el caso de Iris, la chica stripper que fue golpeada y abusada en la primera temporada, a tal punto que tenía un dispositivo dentro de su cuerpo que mostraba la ubicación a sus raptores.
Pues en la segunda temporada vuelve a buscar a su secuestrador y vuelven a insertarle el dispositivo y pareciera que le gustara sufrir pero también pudiera contrastar que no tiene otro camino que tomar, aunque obviamente es algo que tiene que ver con el Sindrome de Estocolmo, ya que la situación que la serie quiere ilustrar es la dificulta del desapego de la victima con su raptor.
Mike sigue trabajando por la tranquilidad pero rodeado de crímenes que no puede controlar, la cárcel se descontrola por un acuerdo político y sus posibilidades de sostener la paz cada vez se alejan más, lo cual en la primera temporada a pesar de tanta violencia, la paz se notaba como una posibilidad lejana.
A nivel de acción tiene detalles muy buenos pero creo que esta temporada busca mas el drama y los sentimientos, aunque todavía me faltan dos episodios por terminar y confío en que pueda sorprender aun mas. Lo digo porque el último episodio de la primera temporada es extremadamente explosivo e insuperable, no he visto algo de ese nivel en mucho tiempo, de hecho la repercusión de ese episodio se siente muchísimo en toda la segunda temporada.
Esta serie desde los primeros minutos es bastante injusta en cuanto a muertes, por esa razón cualquier giro puede impactar con mucha fuerza en nuestros sentimientos.
De hecho desde su inicio esta serie se basa en que la mayoría de los personajes que intentan caer bien al espectador puedan morir o sufrir mucho.
Hasta ahora no he tenido quejas con esta temporada, porque creo que mantiene un ritmo muy propio y que se entiende el por qué las cosas toman el rumbo que toman.
La sigo recomendando si te gustan las tramas de acción y prisión, a mí en particular no me encanta la acción en la serie pero si el drama en una prisión, ya que suele conducirte hacia las emociones y las escenas de acción tienen sus motivos y sin darte cuenta terminas disfrutándolas.
