“Tick, Tick... Boom” directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is one of those movies that usually go unnoticed.... Without a doubt it grabs you completely, here Andrew delivers a simply masterful performance. The story of this film takes us into the hard life of Jonathan Larson, an acclaimed (real life) playwright who was behind the acclaimed musical “Rent”. This film is not just a simple biopic, but has managed to capture such a special essence... all the creative struggle Larson went through, all his fears, and the insecurities that accompanied him and plagued him on his road to success.

Hola a todos! Espero que se encuentren bien el día de hoy, querida comunidad amante del cine y de las buenas historias. El día de hoy, les quiero compartir una nueva reseña con mis opiniones sobre una película protagonizada por el querido Andrew Garfield. Este actor es de los mejores, y de mis favoritos.. muchos de ustedes seguramente lo identifican fácilmente, ya que fue uno de nuestros superhéroes favoritos.. Spider-man, y seguramente amaron su interpretación tanto como yo. Bueno, esta película es simplemente increíble.. Siento que trasciende, va más allá de la mera experiencia visual, logra conectar con el espectador de una manera muy emocional."Tick, Tick... Boom" dirigida por Lin-Manuel Miranda, es una de esas hoyas cinematográficas que mayormente suelen pasar desapercibidas.. Sin duda te atrapa completamente, aquí Andrew entrega una actuación simplemente magistral. La historia de esta película nos mete en la dura vida de Jonathan Larson, un aclamado dramaturgo (de la vida real) que estuvo detrás del aclamado musical “Rent”. Esta película no es solo una simple cinta biográfica equis, sino que ha conseguido capturar una esencia tan especial.. toda esa la lucha creativa que vivió Larson, todos sus miedos, y las inseguridades que lo acompañaron y atormentaron en su camino hacia el éxito.
Here Andrew Garfield completely transforms into Larson, gives him a simply overwhelming authenticity, and immersively transports you back to the lead up to his big success... When he was still dealing with all the uncertainty of not having achieved his dreams in his 30's.. that feeling that he's missing the train and time is running out. His performance is so...powerful, it really touches you, it's impossible not to empathize with this character, we see the depths of his insecurities and frustrations, how this even affects him on a personal level, hindering his relationships as well.
This film is not only about the drawbacks of musical theater, it is a complete exploration, quite profound about the human condition in general, about all those existential dilemmas that we all, when we reach a certain age, have faced... How much longer can I wait to fulfill my dreams? Should I settle for a safe but empty life? Is it worth sacrificing everything for passion? For what I love? Will it be worth it in the end? These and more questions will surely end up being asked when watching this movie.. and one as a viewer ends up reflecting on the course we have taken in our lives, something that for me was very valuable, this kind of movies that leave you with a message, I love them.

Aquí Andrew Garfield se transforma completamente en Larson, le da una autenticidad simplemente arrolladora, y te transporta inmersamente a los previos a su gran éxito.. Cuando aún se enfrentaba con toda la incertidumbre de no haber alcanzado sus sueños a los 30 años.. esa sensación de que se le va el tren y el tiempo se está acabando. Su interpretación es tan.. poderosa, que te conmueve mucho, es imposible no sentir empatía por este personaje, vemos lo más profundo de sus inseguridades y frustraciones, como esto incluso lo afecta a nivel personal, obstaculizando también sus relaciones.Esta película no solo trata sobre los inconvenientes del teatro musical, es una completa exploración, bastante profunda sobre la condición humana en general, de todos esos dilemas existenciales por los que todos, al llegar a una cierta edad, hemos enfrentado.. ¿Cuánto tiempo más puedo esperar para cumplir mis sueños? ¿Debo conformarme con una vida segura pero vacía? ¿Vale la pena sacrificarlo todo por la pasión? ¿Por lo que amo? ¿Valdrá la pena al final? Estas y más preguntas seguro terminarán haciéndose al ver esta película.. y uno como espectador acaba reflexionando sobre el curso que hemos tomado en nuestras vidas, algo que para mí fue muy valioso, este tipo de películas que te dejan un mensaje, me encantan.
This film also has some very captivating musical numbers, the director has managed to convey all these feelings and concerns of the protagonist, in an incredible way, through music and acting. The lyrics of the songs are poetic and very deep... everything is an incredible mix of genres that keeps the viewer captivated, at least I really liked these presentations... there are good opening numbers, to ballads that touch your heart... Each song is a work of art in itself. If musicals aren't your thing, don't let that stop you from seeing this great show, Andrew shines giving some amazing musical numbers, he has a lot of talent for this, exploring this part of him, was very enjoyable, it's great how actors can become so multifaceted.
Also, accompanying Andrew in his numbers, sometimes there is Karessa, played by actress Vanessa Hudgens, yes, that same one, sure you remember her in High School Musical as Gabriella Montez. Well, she continues to demonstrate her great singing talent here as well. What I feel stands out the most about this movie.. is its ability to capture those moments so melancholic, or happy.. and even a mix of both, all this in the great city of New York, the city feels like another character haha.. it has a vibrant energy, reflecting both the opportunities that some have, and the limitations that other artists face in their quest for success.

Esta película también tiene con unos números musicales muy cautivadores, el director, ha logrado transmitir todos estos sentimientos e inquietudes del protagonista, de una manera increíble, a través de la música y la actuación. Las letras de las canciones plasmadas, son poéticas y muy profundas.. todo es una increíble mezcla de géneros que mantiene al espectador cautivado, a mí por lo menos me gustaron mucho estas presentaciones.. hay buenos números de apertura, hasta baladas que te tocan el corazón.. Cada canción es una obra de arte en sí. Si lo tuyo no son los musicales, no dejes que eso te detenga de ver esta gran obra, Andrew se luce dando unos números musicales increíbles, tiene mucho talento para esto, explorar esta parte de él, fue muy agradable, es genial como los actores pueden llegar a ser tan multifacéticos.Además, acompañando a Andrew en sus números, algunas veces esta Karessa, interpretada por la actriz Vanessa Hudgens, sí, esa misma, seguro la recuerdan en High School Musical como Gabriella Montez. Bueno, sigue demostrando su gran talento como cantante aquí también. Lo que siento que más destaca de esta película.. es su capacidad de capturar esos momentos tan melancólicos, o felices.. e incluso una mezcla de ambos, todo esto en la gran ciudad de Nueva York, la ciudad se siente como un personaje más jaja.. tiene una energía vibrante, reflejando tanto las oportunidades que tienen algunos, como las limitaciones que enfrentan otros artistas en su búsqueda del éxito.
Lin-Manuel Miranda demonstrates an exceptional mastery of the cinematic medium, every shot... every specific camera movement, every curious transition is carefully designed to enhance the viewers experience... His love for the theater, and his great respect for Jonathan Larson, is very much in evidence. This is felt throughout the film. “Tick, Tick... Boom” is one of those movies that may not attract much attention... mainly because it tells the story of someone that perhaps few people know... it is true, that many people are not so fond of theater, musicals, etc... But without a doubt, this movie is totally worth it, it is a work that goes beyond genres, or ages, it touches themes and situations in which we can all feel identified, regardless of our age, nationality, gender... that universal touch it has to make you rethink many things, it's great. It is a celebration to art, to passion, to the search of all our dreams...
It's a movie that can make you laugh, cry, and reflect a lot.... It leaves you thinking about the legacy we want to leave in the world. To rate this movie, I gave it a lot of thought, and I think it is a well deserved 9.5/10. It is a film that deserves to be seen, and above all to be appreciated... all people who love art, in any of its expressions... will enjoy this experience very much. Andrew does it wonderfully, I won't get tired of saying it, many thought it would be this movie that would give him the Oscar, sadly it wasn't so. But well, surely this actor still has many more spectacular productions to star in. Lin-Manuel Miranda demuestra un dominio excepcional del medio cinematográfico, cada plano.. cada movimiento específico de cámara, cada curiosa transición está cuidadosamente diseñada para realzar la experiencia de los espectadores.. Se nota mucho su amor por el teatro, y su gran respeto por Jonathan Larson.. Esto se siente en toda la película. "Tick, Tick... Boom" es de esas películas que tal vez no llamen mucho la atención.. principalmente, porque cuenta la historia de alguien que tal vez pocas personas conocen.. es cierto, que muchas personas no son tan fanáticas del teatro, de las obras musicales, etc.. Pero sin duda, esta película vale totalmente la pena, es una obra que va más allá de los géneros, o de las edades, toca temas y situaciones en las que todos podemos llegar a sentirnos identificados, sin importar nuestra edad, nacionalidad, género.. ese toque universal que tiene para hacerte replantearte muchas cosas, es genial. Es toda una celebración al arte, a la pasión, a la búsqueda de todos nuestros sueños..Es una película que puede hacerte reír, llorar, y reflexionar mucho.. Te deja pensando en el legado que queremos dejar en el mundo. Para calificar esta película, lo pensé mucho, y creo que es un merecido 9.5/10. Es una película que merece mucho ser vista, y sobre todo ser apreciada.. todas las personas que aman el arte, en cualquiera de sus expresiones.. disfrutarán mucho esta experiencia. Andrew lo hace de maravilla, no me cansaré de decirlo, muchos pensaban que sería esta película la que le daría el Oscar, tristemente no fue así. Pero bueno, seguramente este actor aún tiene muchas más producciones espectaculares que protagonizar.. Los invito a dejarse llevar por toda esta conmovedora historia, que seguramente los dejara con un nudo en la garganta.. Sin más que decir, cuídense, nos vemos en la próxima reseña.
