Another of Max and the other pets is here again. I don't know how I managed to stumble on the second part of this film because I never thought there was a need for one as the story in the first didn't end abruptly nor did it end in suspense but anyway, here we are. At first glance at the poster, I was jazzed and wished the film wouldn't struggle with its storyline. This is because most times, when a sequel to a film is released, the storyline mostly struggles to match the first, making it turn out boring.

In this sequel, Max faces challenges when Katie, his owner, gets married and welcomes a baby, Liam. But, as time goes on, Max figures the child isn't as much of a nuisance as he thought he'd be. He falls in love with the child so much that he becomes overprotective and doesn't even wish for the child to be out of his sight, much less go to preschool.
Meanwhile, my favorite Snowball, becomes a superhero, courtesy of his owner, and as fate had it, he has to team up with another pet to rescue a tiger from the hands of an abusive circus owner.
The pets all embark on an exciting adventure in this one while learning valuable lessons about courage and friendship.
My review and rating
I was thrilled watching this sequel because of the numerous adventures the pets embarked on. In my opinion, it was more exciting than the first. Snowball, the Bunny, voiced by Kevin Hart, made me laugh with his super hero skills. I mean he fought real good with the wolves that were kept as security to the tiger.🙃
In the two installments Snowball remains my favorite character. I know the movie was somehow centered on Max but Snowball manages to steal the show as he offers plenty of laughs and heartwarming moments with his hilarious antics.
While in aspect of cinematography, the film delivers visually engaging and vibrant animation that helps bring the characters and their little world to life. As for the soundtrack, they did a great job by curating the best upbeat score that complements the actions and humor shown on screen.
I'd rate this a solid ⅘. Will definitely be worth your time.
PS : pets are adorable. You'll love watching them and maybe get to learn one or two before thinking of adopting one.
