Corrections are normal, kid

In the frenzy and bonanza of the world of cryptocurrency investing, it's easy to lose your mind and think you are untouchable, or feel like you want to die, just by looking at the daily price movements. One moment, the market is soaring to new heights, and the next, it's plunging into a seemingly endless abyss. Don't be a dummy, kid. Take a step back and remember that history often repeats itself – especially when it comes to market corrections.

Today's pullback is the perfect example. Many are deeming as "brutal." Yes, the numbers might be alarming at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it becomes obvious that we've treaded this path before even if you don't remember. In fact, the last bull run experienced a nearly identical correction in terms of percentage.

During that time, the altcoin market peaked at 40 billion dollars before plummeting to 27 billion. Fast forward to today, and we're witnessing a similar scenario unfold – with the market correcting from 360 billion to 230 billion. The parallels are striking, to say the least, and if I didn't know better I'd say that someone is actually orchestrating these moves.

But what baffles me the most is that the reaction that came with the previous correction is very much on point with today's (and a month ago) reactions: fear and panic all over the market, casting doubt on the viability of cryptocurrencies as a whole for the uninitiated.

But don't be a dummy, kid. History has shown us time and time again, these sentiments are often short-lived and this is just whales, long-nosed individuals and three letter agencies trying to buy your coins for the cheap.

In the aftermath of the previous correction, lasting anywhere from 2 to 3 months, the market underwent a transformational journey. What was once a landscape marred by uncertainty and apprehension blossomed into a realm of boundless opportunity. The total altcoin market cap surged, nearly achieving a 20x increase from its previous lows.

The result? True euphoria and generational wealth for those who weathered the storm and remained steadfast in their convictions. It serves as a poignant reminder that in the world of cryptocurrency, resilience is key, and short-term setbacks are often overshadowed by long-term gains.

Of course, it's natural to wonder whether history will repeat itself in its entirety. Will we witness a similar trajectory from the current market correction? While the answer remains uncertain, one thing is for sure – we've been here before, and last time, a pullback like today's didn't spell the end of the market.

Instead, it merely signaled a temporary pause in the relentless march towards progress. Far from highlighting the market's peak, it laid the groundwork for future growth and innovation. As investors, it's crucial to maintain perspective during times of uncertainty and volatility.

Amen. Frankly, from 2017 to 2022 my endorphin receptors got so burned out from crypto price swings that now I'm just totally gelling no matter what the price does.

$2.16T crypto ecosystem is almost nothing considering the inflation since 2021, the interest rates around 5.25 - 5.50 and QT in the world.

Best time to strenghten the portfolio ✌️

Indeed, corrections are a natural part of market cycles, and historically, they've often paved the way for future growth and innovation. It's essential for investors to maintain perspective during times of uncertainty and volatility, recognizing that setbacks are often temporary and can create opportunities for long-term gains.

I check prices every few days just googling it out of curiosity. This time I checked, went 'woahhh, crazy', and then carried on with my day. Stopped feeling shocking years ago

Corrections are normal, very true yet no matter the number of times we see it our hearts always melt. Thanks for the reminder friend.

Where's the kid? :P

I'm talking to your inner child fren
