Crypto Does It Attract A Certain Type Of Person?

This type of data actually makes sense because I would suggest most crypto investors are educated to some decent level at least and there are more males in crypto than females. We can see that male/female stat on Hive which is rather evident.

Those of us being involved in crypto must have some similar characteristics or attributes because we are such a small minority compared to those not in crypto. Triple A Data suggests there are roughly 4.2% of the global population in crypto with around 400-450 million users world wide.

The word "users" I would say very loosely because they may have invested small amounts, but the "users" would be far less and this has to be a giant thumb suck at best. No one knows the true figures and all we can know is mass adoption has not happened yet because the figures are just too small.

There has to be something in every crypto investor that lead us here that is different from everyone else. If the stats are correct and it is 4 out of ever 100 people have found crypto then the 4 must be thinking something similar. Is it greed or a want of something better and it could be a combination of both. Curiosity I think would also be a high percentage which Kucoin labels them as crypto curious users.

I can only speak for myself and that is wanting more and doing whatever it takes to achieve this. I would not say it is greed and more of an opportunist discovering what is possible. Having personally missed out on Bitcoin in late 2009 because I was well aware of what it was and seeing what happened I was destined to get involved at some point.

Knowing so many people on Hive through just every day contact whether it is reading their articles or replying to comments we are fairly similar in many ways. I would guess many are more outgoing and are self driven to do better in life through whatever means is necessary.

Some are more driven and focused than others which again shows we are not all the same and think differently. We have to admit what we do on Hive is not exactly normal and is a mind bender for most to try and understand how everything works. Many fail at this hurdle by just not getting it and those that do stay and enjoy what the blockchain has to offer. This is why I think those that have been on Hive for any length of time and those in crypto who have staked in other projects have a certain drive that others just don't have.

Someone who purchases crypto and has it sitting in a wallet earning an APR making more is involved in crypto, but again I would use involved very loosely. Until you understand what is involved and have learned the required skills then you are only one step better than those not involved who have no clue. Maybe those were the ones driven initially by greed and realised the riches were not so easy and gave up because we know time and effort is what really matters.

That's a good point. A lot of those people holding probably just bought on Robinhood or Paypal and haven't done anything with it besides let it sit there. They also probably aren't earning anything on it either.

Yes I would say that is the majority in crypto in a nutshell yet they say they are in crypto and most likely don't even know what or how to stake let alone what is happening.

Ya we are still very far from made adoption and I do think generally speaking those in Crypto have some similarities - they are able to think outside the box, they are willing to take risks and they are early adapters.
