My 67th Instacart paycheck 💸 🛒

This is officially the last week that I'm going to be an Instacart shopper. It's fitting that my final week also happens to be the worst week I've ever had. This just goes to show you that my belief that Instcart should no longer be my job is true. It was good for almost a year, but I will no longer be doing this as there simply is no good work in my area anymore. Let's discuss my horrific final week of Instacart.

Monday, April 29th

Tuesday, April 30th

Wednesday, May 1st

Thursday, May 2nd

No work the first four days of the week due to lack of orders.

Friday, May 3rd

The drought continues. I'm so glad I'm about to be finished with the disappointment that Instacart has become. I managed to snag one measly order on Friday from a regular customer. I was ready to work more, but there weren't any more orders all day long.

I made about $41.42/hr on this day.

I ended up making a visit to the new job that I should be starting next week. They had me fill out some final paperwork and I was very relieved. I am just straight-up tired of Instcart not being dependable anymore.

Saturday, May 4th

Instacart has done it yet again. Another day of me being prepared to work all morning and afternoon, yet no orders were available. It's safe to say that this app is cooked, at least in my city. I sure as hell am glad that I decided to get a new job when I did.

I made about $64.46/hr on this day.

Don't let the amazing hourly rate fool you, I barely did anything on Saturday. It sucks to admit that my job has disintegrated into the digital ethers, but it is the truth.

Sunday, May 5th

No work

End of week hours and pay 🤑

My weekly pay was only $41 and I didn't even get to work one full hour.

I made about $50.69/hr on average this past week.

Doing it again next week 👀

At this point, it is painfully obvious that I need to move on from Instacart. I am starting a new job tomorrow morning. I will eventually create a post talking about the job and how I like it. I'm going to give it several weeks before I do that though so I can take the time to get adjusted.

This is my final Instacart financial report. I am both annoyed and excited about the fact that I am moving on from Instacart. It was fun for a decent portion of the time that it lasted.

If you live in the USA and are considering Instacart as a side hustle, I say go ahead and give it a shot. New shoppers tend to get favoritism in terms of the best orders. Do not however expect this to be your main income long-term, it's just not going to work out if you go about it that way. It might be an okay way to make some extra money in your free time. depending on the city that you live in of course.

Yeah, I tried to get back to some Doordashing myself in the last couple of weeks only to not make much after refilling the gas it took to get out to work, lol. Seems like all the gig companies, at least on the driver side, are suffering right now. Talked with some other drivers the other day while waiting on an order and they were talking about how Instacart and Shipt were both sucking pretty hard lately. So I am focusing on my 3D printing adventure and getting back into to some high leverage BTC futures trading to try and make ends meat these days. I can't get a 'normal job' due to dealing with my Dad and his failing health. I am basically a caregiver and being paid by free rent and food, lol.

It sounds like you are in a unique situation. Putting family first is the correct decision.

Most of the posts I've been seeing on Reddit about Instacart lately are something along the lines of "Where did all of the orders go". That coupled with the fact that I'm lucky to see one good order a day anymore just made me know it wasn't something I could continue to rely on. Thankfully, I had been looking for a new job for a couple of months now. I landed something that fits what I'm wanting to do right now and am actually about to head in for my first morning today. We will see how it goes. I'm still adamant that crypto is going to eventually take the financial stresses out of the picture for many of us. It just has any happened yet for me.

I hear that. Well good
Luck in the new gig!

So much for that last reply.
Let’s just say I don’t miss dealing with management at a job. Day 1 and they already fucked up my day 🤣😂 it can only be uphill from here though. How does one text me and tell me this 15 minutes before I’m supposed to be there 🤦🏻‍♂️ acting like he didn’t already know yesterday that they hadn’t gotten it yet. A heads up yesterday would have been nice.

I would be finding something else. This only shows how screwed up the management is. I had a similar experience with Safeway in Oregon.

Wow
It’s now clear that instacart can’t help you with your daily needs anymore and it’s time to move
I wish you all the best

If there was such a good opportunity here in our country, I would definitely do this job.

I wouldn't call it a very good opportunity anymore. It was at one point, but I cannot make enough doing Instacart to support my monthly financial needs.

hey yo.. $40 per hour is ALL good! :P sometime, (most of the time), our time is the much more valuable thing..

👊😎✌️
