Another fabulous week as @eds-vote delegations hit 269,000 HP this week. Who would have thought we'd reach those dizzy heights by the end of the first year?

Hive's Circular Economy
We have this amazing opportunity on Hive to make gifts to people whose content we want to support. Every day, we get some free HIVE to give away and benefit other Hive accounts.
If your account is very small, you may think your vote is worth nothing - it doesn't register even 0.01 when you vote on a post! That isn't the case, the figures you see are only nominal amounts: behind those are rshares. Rshares are the real value of your vote.
When a number of small voters (people with a small amount of HIVE POWER) vote on a post, the rshares accumulate and before you know it, they start to register as .01! This is why it is important to vote on posts (rather than comments) when you have a small HP stake.
Last week's post talked about engaging with other people on the Savers Chart to build your network. If you're a small account, try and use your ten 100% votes every day, maybe Saturday is the day you support ten other savers!
Using hive.vote curation trail
We also talked about following @eds-vote to create a curation trail that follows people with 100 EDS (or who delegates 1,000 HP to eds-vote).
Curation trails are an automated service run by hive.vote. You set a portion of your votes to follow the vote of the account you're trailing, in this case @eds-vote. Here's how to do it:
Head over to hive.vote and login with your Hive account name and posting key. You'll arive at the dashboard. Choose curation trail from the lefthand menu and then scroll down until you come to search for a trail:
Type eds-vote into the search box and click search.
When you reach this screen, you can check who is already following @eds-vote - I think @noctury was the first one! Click FOLLOW.
Select your options - you may want to try a low vote percentage at first until you know what difference it makes to your voting power. You can adjust the settings any time.
There you are - all done! You can adjust your settings, pause trailing @eds-vote or stop all together at any time. This is a great way to support other Savers and all the people who do all the work behind the scenes.

Hello, I just noticed this wonderful club. I delegated 1012 HP to eds-vote and it is difficult for me to set a target for EDS and EDSD right now, maybe in the future. But I would like to add my goals to the list.
My Primary Goal : 25,000 HP (Currently 17,432 HP)
My Secondary Goal : 1000 HBD in savings (Currently 438 HBD)

SSC Week 16 Progress
For my week's progress, even with the continued dip in the markets, I was able to sustain my savings goal according to the weekly chart. I transferred 7.63 HBD to my savings. I maintained my 75 HP rewards a week with 76.338 HP in rewards for my posting and curation efforts. I purchased 1 EDSD.
I'm closing in on my 2024 HP goal of 24K, as I'm only 1300 HP away.

I hope it works out well. If anyone hasn't worked with Hive.Vote before, they must set general settings to ensure that their HP isn't depleted and that they don't vote for their own posts while following the trail.

Hello @shanibeer. So now @eds-vote has a curation trail. I was under the impression last week that it didn't have one, so I just followed @eds-vote as a FAN. If that is not the case, then I will switch my auto vote to the curation trail.
Ah yes, if you follow an account as a fan, it automates your upvote to that account 🙂
A fan account is different from a curation trail account. I have switched my FOLLOW to the curation trail.

you keep writing to put up an order in hive-engine and it will get filled with time but when? is it just the miners that sell continuously, is anybody selling down to 1? does eddie-earner sell eds on market any time?
how else will the price ever get to 1 hive if noone sells down to 1 hive/eds?
been also thinking about amping up my delegation to 1000 hp in case i can't buy eds from the market (waiting for hp to be available again)

Hi there @paradigmprospect, glad you want to increase your EDS holdings 😍
EDS are pegged to 1 HIVE. They are becoming increasingly popular which is why you are seeing the higher prices on Hive-Engine. I haven't checked for a while, so I'm not sure who is selling them. Hive-Engine is an open market, so people buy and sell at whichever price they want. It could be the case that we need to revise the information about putting in an order for 1 HIVE - that may be out of date now.
You're quite right: @eds-vote (HP delegations) and @eds-d (HBD backed token) are the other options to accumulate EDS.

Hiya savers!
I've had the bad habit over the past several weeks of forgetting to add my comment with my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Updates here on the SSC post on time (I always seem to remember after it's too late...doh). Today, however, I did remember on time, so here I am! This past week was another pretty good week of growth for me, with all three of my weekly goals being reached and exceeded again. I should reach 6,700 HP before the end of the week, and with the 4+ HBD that I'll he claiming in interest in 3 days, I'll surpass 270 HBD in Savings, which is also pretty sweet. By the way, I followed the @eds-vote curation trail!
So far this week is going well for me, with a new HP delegation added (@lasort), to replace @pgm-curator (since the project is being sold). May the rest of the week be brilliant for everyone with building, growing, saving, and smashing your goals! Forward, onward, and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Thanks for the curation trail update! It's been a while since I visited hive.vote and delegated voting power to @curie. So! I've followed @eds-vote and delegated some voting power there, too! I like the idea of helping distribute voting power more effectively across the HIVE platform... And I trust eddie's judgment in curating quality content - plus, I want to show my support for the SSC community! (It's a no-brainer.)

The halving was a surprise for the mining rewards which are double now... My savings has been constant and consistent with daily additions and I am staying well ahead of my goal for the date.

I'll have to look at the curation trail - right now, I do all my curation manually and never seem to have enough vote power to upvote all the great posts I see, but automating some of it seems like a nice idea 😀
Very roughly, about a third of my voting power is automated, people on Hive who bring something good and who I want to stick around. It means that even if I'm busy doing other things, they are getting support and I maintain reasonable curation rewards.
It does need monitoring, though, people start and stop activity and that can throw your voting power out!
That makes sense ! I've got about 25% of my HP delegated out, with the rest of it used for curation. But my vote power is usually somewhere in the 60-80% range, there's always far too much good stuff out there that I want to upvote 😁
