I appreciate the fact that a day was set aside to celebrate laborers but not to sound all selfish but it would have been nice to have Labor Week and not just Labor Day. Imagine working round the clock every single day of the week for a year only to have one day in a year where you are asked to rest but then again can we complain? Can we reject it? Can we get angry? Absolutely no! We are all happy and grateful to have a single day in a year to ourselves.
On this first day of the month of May, I dedicate this post to every man and woman who is part of the labor force, who in one way or another is contributing their own quota to society, you all are doing a great job and I am so proud of you all.
To everyone who not only puts in the work but also goes an extra mile to make a difference in their various establishments, you all are the real MVPs!
Being part of the labour force where you render services and receive orders from superiors is not a walk in the park as some superiors can drive you crazy in a matter of minutes and it takes everything in you not to lose it.
Often times a lot of laborers who work their asses out to make a difference are neither acknowledged nor recognized and this can be painful at times but as a diligent worker do not relent, just keep pushing as you’re doing a great job regardless of not being acknowledged or recognized.
I love my job so much even though there are times I just want to quit as a result of how tiring the job can be some times but when I think about the value I add to my company and the privilege of being part of the team that is changing lives I am always happy as nothing beats that for me.
As someone who is part of the labor force, it gives me great joy to be part of the growth process of my company and by so doing I am able to contribute my own quota to not just my firm but to society at large and to me that’s the most rewarding thing.
My job might not be as grand as I had envisaged it before joining the firm, and I might not have a large paycheck at the end of the month but regardless I am happy.
At this point in my success story, I am glad that I am going through this phase as to me it’s a learning process and these lessons would come in handy whenever I decide to start up my own firm.
No position in the workforce is irrelevant as everyone in their own little way brings something to the table.
In celebration of International Labours Day I celebrate every person who work tirelessly to not just earn a living but to also make impact.
To everyone who has served diligently in one capacity or the other in a bid to make a difference, you all deserve some accolades.
To everyone who has deprived themselves of certain things just to show up on time and diligently carry out their jobs, kudos to you all!
To everyone who over the years have tried their best to separate their personal life from their work life, you all deserve your flowers.
We can only hope it gets bigger and better over the course of the journey.

I am in support of it becoming labour week. This morning I didn't feel like getting up from my bed. In fact right now as I type this, I am still groggy and feeling fatigued, am wishing for more sleep time 😂😂
